And a seperate question: Anyone here try either Metal Chip zone @ 90? Got one in a chest and looked up the info, Apollyon looks like it has potential... "mobs drop 3-6 coins" so if that's an even spread 3-6 would only need to kill about 10 mobs to get the same # of coins I end up with soloing SE Apollyon, might be able to do more. Says there's 3 NMs, pulling 1 spawns 3 helpers, which are sleepable, NM isn't. Kill all 3 and NM summons a fresh 3. Gather mobs, Benthic > Whirl > Flower > hold off NM, rinse repeat? The description on wiki indicates each NM "can spawn 4 or more groups" so (12 mobs + NM) x3 = 39... x3-6 coins is enough that if you could clear the zone that way with 3 people it's still better than soloing other zones.

Probably going to try this duo first as a test, with another good blu I know, even if it ends up on par with other zones it may be a simpler way to do it, or just a change of scenery for any occasional Chip drop from other zones.

I wrote this up at level 90. It was actually a really fun run. I have another metal chip and want to go again some day, but can't get people for it. It's not going to be a lot better in terms of coins than soloing the Dhalmel Apollyon zone, but it'll be a lot more fun.

From the sounds of that do you think 2 or 3 BLU would come up with similar results? At 95?

Maybe 3 BLU could. You're dealing with constant 2-hour spam and need to keep kill-rate very high to avoid timing out. Also, do you guys get a dark based sleepga? You'd want one against Aerns.

I definitely think we could have dropped the THF and DRG/WHM down to a THF if our support had been a little more on the ball. I ended up being the heaviest DD in the group on DNC, but it was mostly because I used my mule (BRD/WHM) to cast Cure 4 on me and generally keep me alive while the DRG and THF spent half the run weakened. No one could have saved the DRG, but the THF could probably have been kept alive.

Dream Flower is dark based, about the same potency as Sleepga II.

This gives me the impression you're not really familiar with BLU90 vs limbus mobs. Generally it's a beast. As an example I've been soloing SE Apollyon BLU/RDM and finishing with 15 minutes to spare. Went BLU/THF for TH3 and still had just under 10 minutes. If your dd was THF+DRG/WHM+ DNC "as your heaviest DD" yes 3 BLU would handle it. Probably 2.

And yes, Dream Flower, Dark based sleepga2 duration, casting time not far off utsu: ni.

You have to kill an Aern every 30~45 seconds to avoid timing out and everything 2-hours. Also, these mobs are harder than the other Limbus zones (which is why no one did chip zones at 75 with less than an alliance). Maybe you could do it with 2 BLU, but I really doubt it. You definitely won't kill the boss without /NIN.

Still needs more questions answered. Boss stunnable? mobs are harder than which limbus zone? 2 BLU could rip through mobs in some zones in 5 seconds, others more around the 30 second mark, none more than that. May be able to cleave some together even. Not to be cocky but if it's stunnable 2 BLU/RDM shouldn't have a problem at all. Occultation is 8 shadows, will be 9 @ 95 cap. And if it's a Ghrah that switches forms when 1 move does a high amount of damage 2 BLU could easily just lock in transforming back and forth. 150 coins does sound better than what might happen duo in the Apollyon version, but maybe not. The info on # of coins from temenos is definitely good to know though, I can just test out Apollyon and if we end up with more then being able to full clear temenos would be a moot point.

NQ mobs are stunnable (even by Violent Flourish). The boss can be stunned by a Black Mage and slow/para'd, but I didn't try with Violent flourish. He takes reduced damage overall. I see a 1251 Blizzard V in the logs, and two 2150~60 Bliz Vs against the Aerns, and 30~50 damage crits, 15~25 damage normal hits with Dia III and meat and Minuet V, which is about half what the Aerns were taking or a bit under.

Mobs harder than any limbus zone other than Apollyon CS. They're about as hard as killing level 90 mobs, assuming those mobs can 2-hour, reraise, and you're dealing with 2~5 at once.

That does sound like it'd take some work. Might be worth checking out just to see at some point.

Honestly, the whole run was ridiculously fun but only because it was so hard for us at the time. Our setup was pretty silly... who brings DRG/WHM to anything with 2-hours? She'd just gotten level 90 Rhongo though.

I found it was very helpful to alternate between killing two Aerns so you don't have to wait for the reraise animation. Also, evasion was very very helpful.

Any hints of SE adding White Wind to normal Puks for this update? On my spell hunting binge now.

They said they will add Puks that use it in normal areas afaik, so rather than killing old mobs look for new additions.

I thought puks in the Mamool Ja base used white wind... or was that just a really old rumor.

So now that the affect of TP on crit chance for CDC has been tentatively worked out, can any math heads comment if the TP Bonus sword is now worthwhile to offhand for Almace (like the TP bonus dagger is for Twashtar)? I'm assuming not since you are losing the STR mod on spells and the ATT to melee damage from the Shamshir... but since when do people accept "eyeballing" stuff over math?

Hard to say. Depending on what gear/atmas you already use you might have to end up switching other stuff around to even fully benefit from the increased crit rate from the tp bonus

Snaggletooth Peapuks are in The Boyahda Tree at F-7 on the third map- same coloring (and roughly the same size) as Seps- assuming these guys are the ones we get white wind from
