How do I make sudden lunge work with spellcast?
Wait till they update it I suppose
Isn't there a way to manually update?
Replace with the information for Sudden Lunge and save this to resources. That might work.<entry id="637" index="673" prefix="/magic" english="Quad. Continuum" german="Quadr. Kont." french="Continuum quad." japanese="四連突" type="BlueMagic" element="Unknown" targets="Enemy" skill="BlueMagic" mpcost="91" casttime="1" recast="31.75"/>
that wont fix it but im sure they will put out updated resources soon.
but...
one sec ill see if i can give you a quick fix for now
seeing as its String Table Entry is 00692
it will be something like:
<entry id="656" index="692" prefix="/magic" english="Sudden Lunge" mpcost="18" casttime="1" recast="12"/>
it will take me awhile to get the other languages tho =/
Usually takes them a little while.
Try this as a workaround:
/raw /ma "Sudden Lunge" <t>
/raw makes spellcast ignore the command.
Tried the FoV behe, never used Thunderbolt, only Shock Wave and Wild Horn. Kept curing it with nukes since it absorbs a random element. Soooo, yeah.
For some reason, spellcast isn't putting on my STR gear for Heavy Strike even though the Else rule should cover it... Any ideas?
From old testimonies on wiki it says its tp moves vary by day. I did it on Darksday and it used thunderbolt and two other ws so maybe it spawns w/specific ones on different days.
I can confirm Gudanna using Thunderbolt on Dark day.
(used 4x didn't learn)
(Popped again on dark day now he's not using it at all )
I wasn't able to find a cap listed anywhere for level 95 magic skill and the skill levels needed/recommended to get the new spells, but since it hasn't been mentioned here yet: I was able to learn Sudden Lunge (a lv95 spell) 1/2 at 415 skill, which is just a couple points higher than what I had at 90. No specific skilling up needed outside of what I got going from 90 to 95.
Just thought I'd throw that in since personally I was dreading the possibility of having to grind skill up before being able to learn some of the new magic. I lost track of the level gap between skill and spell level after 75.
Went to Behemoth's Dominion to learn off the Field Manual NM on Darksday and a bunch of JP BLUs were just standing around not doing anything. None of them would invite or even respond to me when I asked. Darksday was almost over and I had forgotten to stop by the Manual to get the Elite Training Regime, so I couldn't pop it myself. So they start popping him on Firesday and he didn't use Thunderbolt once. It made me feel kinda good that those douchebags won't get their spell the easy way.
FoV NMs spawn with random buffs and immunities that aren't dependent on day. If the Adamantoise feels like winning he can spawn with enpetrify. Wouldn't be too far-fetched that the available skills are totally random and the whole "day" thing is just an unproven theory - can't imagine everyone who popped it before it had a spell to teach was taking notes on when they popped and what skills it used.
inb4 the wiki is just making shit up again
Tried the GoV 5 times, never saw thunderbolt. We did notice that it seemed to only use 2 different tp moves per spawn, no matter how long we held him. And anybody should be able to learn the new spells right away. Capped skill, capped blu merits, 25 points from gear (AF body and AF3+1 legs), got sudden lunge 1/1 at 90.
