Draylo, in your 1 shot video of AMK, was the overall damage a massive overkill or is the HP on boss relatively close to the total damage you did.

As long as I have gear that makes sense for the mods of the spells you used, I should have no problem mimicing it and 1shotting him as well?

I see no reason why you couldnt just start SC on lower % if you are not sure if your damage is enough to one shot from start. Just throw few DD spells before SC.

The rest of your questions have been asked many times in this thread, if a search doesn't work that would be very odd. Merits I would do would be:

CA recast 5/5
Phy potency 5/5

Weapons x2 str shamshir if no interest in pursuing Almace.

Atma, MM VV RR for spells as primary dmg if no CDC.

Spells would vary greatly depending on situation. Most common ones are the good DD spells such as QC, Gob rush, BT, heavy strike, delta thrust and common utility spells like animating wail, battery charge. Fill in other spells to gain traits like double attack and such. Vorpal is a very reliable WS as is sanguine blade (if target doesn't heavily resist).

Personally I would first ask for what he want to use this BLU. If for abyssea then all above is ok + stagger spells but if for something like VW then its completely different imo.

I'm not sure of his exact HP but I think you will be fine if geared properly. Most important thing is SC bonus triat tbh, have AF3+2 head will help as well.

True, he asked a very broad question though w/o much detail so I did the basics and assumed Abyssea since he asked for atma setup.

Well my friend did just start, we do need to get him +2 Emp armor and general abyssea things. Not to mention our own emp armors and such, our being my sister and me.

Having him on BLU for trio-ing is gonna make our lives so much easier...

I could find a lot more useful jobs for farming abyssea tbh. Not to mention gearing and skilling BLU from scratch will take a lot of time for casual player. I would rather do BLU on side and play something else for trio abyssea farm ( like BLM for example )

Yeah as much as I love BLU if you're trying to speed things up for drops you are better off doing it efficiently. BLM/brd thf/nin whm is best for almost everything.

Yeah, I've got BLM, my sister has WHM.

Though most of my LS has THF leveled, so that's not really an issue at the moment.

Skilling up Blue Magic sure sucks though.

I prefer BLM/BRD BLU/NIN WHM/RDM. The BLM uses TH atma and TH sash. We have every proc with that setup and the drop rates with TH2 are hardly that different from TH6.

I prefer BLM/BRD, BLU/THF (with atma + sash), and WHM/NIN. However, this wouldn't cover all procs if darkness (Dispel) is one of the three possible procs, but still not sure if giving up an extra two TH from /thf is worth it.

If You're doing easy to get mobs then I don't think it matters if you're lacking a couple of proc spells. When I'm lacking a proc on any mob that can be deaggroed without depopping or risking others yoinking it then I'll just do that and prefer to have my th.

I think I'd much rather have the blu be /nin than the whm especially since being the only dd, it'd be best to have them set up for faster killing and better tanking ability after procs. Whm doesn't need anything other than minikin to do their job just fine.

How does this work exactly? I've heard of autoexec but was never sure about what it did...

AutoExec responds when a certain requirement is fulfilled. The requirement he wrote (Time_*.*) is one that is always true, so the program will continue to cast pollen over and over. Normally, you set register time to hr.minutes, but since you want the program to continue to cast pollen regardless of the time, you substitute the numbers with *, which indicates that any number can fulfill the requirement for that spot.

Just quick note. I could land almost all debbufs as BLU on both Akvan and Kaggen (Kaggen was resisting a little on F Roar but it landed too few times) including pretty much all spells that reduce TP etc. Only one I couldnt land is obviously Trunk and Cheotic eye(silence) or maybe Trunk landed but didnt steal anything.

Isn't gonna stop me from doing exactly that though.

I just burned blu 1-95 over Sunday/Monday, spent Tuesday capping skill and merits, and Wed/Thur getting Charged Whisker and Thunderbolt.

Blu is going to be used solely for Whisker burn, and will always be in the company of a dedicated thief puller and whm healer.

Without going insane, how does this look for a whisker set:

Jupiter's/Spear Strap/empty/Thunder Sachet
Ocelomeh/Shifting/Novio/Hecates
Loki's/AF3+2/Demon Ring (MAB +3)/Strendu
Romanus/Thiazi's/AF3+2/AF3+2

Is this a reasonable whisker set? (And yes I'm aware I need to farm some other spells for traits like MAB)

Toci's, DEX Rings, and DEX back should be better. Though slightly less damage, Cuchulains will save you inventory.

Toci's would fall under the 'insane' definition for me, since this char has no other melee-ish jobs. Of course since I don't want it, it means I'll be one of the first to get it out of voidwatch from our group.

A dex back over the MAB cape? Nifty mantle 5 dex and like 10k on AH.

Rings are buyable, hence easy.

Why the dex over MAB? As a guy who loves BLM, I is confused.

Burst Affinity and AF3 Feet increase the effect of DEX. There is a calculator I made rolling around within this thread somewhere.
