    lol why in the world would I waste my time with sushi and heavy strike when I can just cdc + ca + benthic typhoon or qc and one shot em. Heavy Strike is just a waste of points when loaded and stacking unnecessary acc just to get utility is wasting my inventory and time.

    Red Curry or nothing lol...

    Oh I didn't realize you have 100+% tp and CA up for every mob that you fight. How is heavy strike a waste of points when you should be setting it 100% of the time for double attack anyway...? Thirdly, why are you using benthic typhoon instead of amorphic spikes? Fourthly, good luck one-shotting DC kindred in xarcabard, or are you fighting EP mobs only? If you are, then you are the one wasting your time.

    Using sushi in dynamis for DC mobs far outweighs the extra attack that red curry buns will give you. Heavy strike damage/mp cost is probably the most effective out of any spell in the entire game. You're gimping yourself by not using it whenever it's up.

    Let's be honest here. Outside of abyssea your red curry and cdc into benthic does about as much dmg as sushi savage blade quad. Assuming of course your benthic doesn't miss which it tends to do often

    Oh yeah pizza will work well. It didn't work that well @95; I still missed the funguars a lot in valkurm (back then they were T). But now I'd imagine it'd be BLU's best food for dyna. Thanks for that, totally forgot about my lvl 75 pizza buddy.

Like the other quad, I've found quadrastrike's damage isn't worth the mp if you're not pairing it with a JA.
    Atmas only lend crit damage, not crit rate. Quadrastrike is fully dependent on TP for crit rate and ignores all other sources including dDEX, merits, gear, atma. Efflux and Chain Affinity are the only ways to make Quadrastrike crit.

    - Hands seem terrible, but if the enhances Azure Lore is say, +30sec duration, then it could be a macro piece for zerg fights.
    - Legs seem like a massive gamble, if the Assimilation bonus is +1 then it's junk. If it's +5 though, it could be situationally very very useful.
    - Feet seem like a macro piece. Whether its any good depends on what it does to Diffusion. If it allows 2x spells before it wears, awesome. If it's recast down, also good (every little helps?) but not as good as it could be.
    Head will be the best piece for breaths bar none, especially with the Convergence bonus (pending actual effect, I expect it will just increase the potency of the JA. If it actually unlocks the JA without any merits in...)

    Body lets you stop idling and TPing in Mavi body, which is worth more than anything else ever. Unfortunately you also have to stop meleeing in Mavi Kavuk, but hey.

    I don't foresee the Assimilation bonus being extra spell slots. It would be incredibly messy to tie that to gear, and since those legs are nearly worthless for almost anything, absolutely fulltiming them as to not lose equipped spells/force 60 second lockout is ridiculous. I anticipate it will either enhance spell trait bonuses, enhance spell stat bonuses, lower the 60 second lockout, or something of that nature.

    Feet for buffs only, and not worth it unless the effect is a strong composure and/or buff potency increase. If it actually unlocks Diffusion without the need for merits, then their worth is somewhat increased. If not, requiring 1 merit for a possibly docile effect is not worth the time it takes to upgrade them passed normal +2, which are still useful for stoneskins, debuffs, etc. without having to mess with augments.

    Head will only be best for STR+VIT modded spells. STR+DEX will benefit more from Aias.

    Can cap haste with mirage body using Zelus Tiara and Dusk Gloves +1 on top of a standard BLU TP set.

    Nah benthic doesn't miss that much for me not even close to what heavy strike does guess its all that dex on the agi gear set is enough to keep it nice. LOL pizza bah me likes my red curry plus I make it lol and really in dynamis I don't need to eat anything especially crap sushi. In abyssea heavy strike still misses a few misses is enough to f up the mp ratio + 0 damage for mp is ass in my book. Plus benthic hits muliple mobs with defense down its win win for me.

    In retrospect I don't see the Mavi -> Mirage tradeoff being worth it... while you gain sexiness, you lose some stuff.

    On harder mobs, you lose 4~5 ACC for 8 attack.

    On easier mobs, you lose 8 evasion.

    Mirage probably just best as an idle piece so you don't have to be wearing Summer Coat Sale at Macy's 24/7, or situationally slightly, very slightly better than Mavi for TP. Will be more interesting after we see Homam augments. Homam looks so much better with Mirage than most of our TP gear these days too T~T

    Are you seriously retarded? Heavy strike will have capped acc on anything you will farm coins off of in dynamis regardless of food. Not positive on capped acc on DC stuff, but the low mp cost and recast time make it more than justifiable, even if you only had around 80% acc.

    Nah your moms retarded it misses way more than I like so get over it kid.. When I CDC I normally won't be spamming spells its a mute point I like spells I can count on using to it's full potential having it miss on aura statues bugs the hell out of me.

    You are the kind of person who thinks that they don't have capped accuracy on 1hit weaponskills because you see misses aren't you? Also if you don't have capped accuracy, try wearing some acc gear in your strike set. Or is that concept too hard for you to grasp?

    I do grasp it just fine I just don't have the need for it damn didn't realize me not caring for a spell with sucky acc get this much of a reaction from the peanut gallery but I see peeps must be bored as hell lol.

    It should be better for most spells barring CA (use mavi), a straight DEX only mod, or acc issue.

    The +7 skill will bump to the next tier adding 2D and give an +7 "blue attack" (which is worth a bit more than regular attack in a melee situation since we lack ways to boost by very much)

    Quick comparison of Disseverment shows the 8DEX/8STR adding an average of 4.72 D if fSTR isnt capped.
    The Relic +2 will add 4.1 D in the same situation.
    The 0.72 added to a total D of 180 (typical for Diss) is a .4% damage increase.
    The 7 attack will yield roughly 1.5% more damage on an EM mob (more on IT,ect)

    Thanks for the info Prothescar. Some comparisons:
    Body: Mavi -> Mirage
    -1 Def
    -3 Acc
    +15 att
    +5 Dex
    +5 Str

    Head: Mavi -> Zelus
    -34 Def
    -12 Acc
    -7 Skill
    -5 Eva

    Hands: Homam -> Dusk
    -4 Acc
    +6 Att

    Hands: Homam -> Alucinor
    -4 Acc
    +8 Dex

    For me to switch sets (I don't like dusk) it'd be:

    -35 Def
    -18.8 Acc
    -5 Eva
    For:
    +10.5 att
    +13 Dex(acc from dex already accounted for)
    +5 Str(Att from Str already accounted for)

    I dunno, what do you think? If capped on acc I'd say go for it but if not, it might hurt too much.

    Edit: Alternatively we can go get Ephemeron and solve all the problems.

    With Ephemeron it's the best option, but aside from that, can't really condone the switch :\

    Edit: Mextli + Ephemeron best for maximum melee output. Mirage + Ephemeron for the refresh.

    Heh, considering my aversion to VW so far, I'd say I won't be switching anytime soon.

    With sword merits, and a moderate ACC build, heavy strike still had a pretty questionable (I'd say 50-80% depending on the mob) hit rate against EP JA proc beastmen in glacier/xarc for me at 95. Even with pizza, it definitely wasn't capped on thf mobs.

    That stat combination doesn't look so bad for blue to be honest. If you're in VW, you're going to be stuck with ridiculous spells, so you won't be meleeing often. Even when you do, Stalwarts tends to close the accuracy gap along with food. In abyssea, ACC is irrelevant, but attack isn't necessary. Old content shouldn't pose accuracy problems during melee; you'll suffer a bit from 5 EVA reduction, but that's minor considering the evasion tests done. Even if you the attack and STR are not benefiting you, the DEX can increase your critical hit rate by 0.5-11%. That said, whether that's an absolute preferred option depends on what else we have received over the past two updates.
