Do people feel kacura gear +1 is worth 2mish price tag? Or are you waiting for it to drop. I'm wondering if I should buy or not. It seems the ingredients are extremely cheap but I guess finding a Leather/Bone craft to do it for you cheaper than AH can be an issue if your friends don't have that craft.

With how cheap it is to make, paying 2m~ is kind of silly. It'll drop a bit in time, new stuff usually does, but it won't get terribly low as that's the way crafting works. As always with crafted gear, the cheapest and most effective way is to get the ingredients yourself and make it yourself or find someone who can.

A couple of pages ago there was talk of AF2+2 giving boosts to JT/JA's but I see nothing about it on the pics posted of AF2+2. Where is that coming from?

A note for anyone who may be apprehensive about trying to solo Bloodrake in Bostaunieux Oubliette, they're pitifully weak. Worst part was that there's only one in the room. Just Regurgitation -> Sneak -> run to the NE hallway and you shouldn't aggro any dogs.

Edit: Nvm more than one, some xp party was killing them off.

There are 0-2 in the small round room in back and 1-3 in the main room. The problem is that they share spawns with the other mobs in the area. Bats and the dogs so if there aren't any up, you may need to kill some other mobs to get them to pop.

Just picked up Tourbillion from the FL assault. Took two attempts, first time through we killed the Moblin and he didn't use it at all. Second time through we left the Moblin alive, and it was his second TP move he did. When the moblin is alive Khimmy doesnt need TP to use his moves, and it's based off whatever dice the moblin rolls, so it seems to be a good idea to keep the Moblin up.

I don't think that it attacks, but feeding it TP probably wouldn't hurt. Been ages since I did that assault, so I am just grasping at straws here.

Uhh.. I don't remember my spell set, but as far as I can recall, I kick Conserve MP trait out for giving more space to Quadrastrike. If the mob is MPless, then I kick out MP Drainkiss and preserver Conserve MP trait.
Amorphic Strikes replaces Quadratic Continuum, while Barbed Crescent replaces Vanity Dive. I think I'm left with 1 set point after that.

Oupire uses Bloodrake too. I killed it the other day to ding 96 before Salvage and it used the move once.

I can't do this. I can at best use both, but Quadratic Continuum has still outperformed Amorphic Strikes and Quadrastrike every time I've compared them. The one place Amorphic excels is CDC skillchain so I try to find room for it when I can.

For me it replaces Blazing Bound for duel wield 2 since I rarely sub NIN now. This is actually the only really nice thing from the update since I can save a point and add a spell to actually use.

Unrelated: Is there a 10th shadow of Occultation? If so, what's the skill for it?

I set Acc Bonus/DW3/Triple Attack/Counter and sub WAR so I end up with Att+Def Bonuses and Double Attack too. Sudden, Battery, Plenilune and Occult too, then just round out with whatever.

EDIT: And then I go do voidwatch and have to shit up my spell list anyway. /angry

What are the new skill tiers at capped level 99 with full merits?

I'm trying to figure out if the new relic +2 hat and/or feet break a tier with my current equipment set. Any help that saves me digging through 100 pages and/or trusting my own dodgy math skills would be appreciated.

Just a note on the FL assault. THe moblin does NOT need TP to use his dicerolls. You literally just hold him + the khimmy and the moblin will spam dicerolls to keep Khimmy doing his TP moves, be warned though as with the moblin alive Khimmy can do Fum at any time (if the moblin is dead he can only do it under 35% or something..) and was hitting our group for 500-700~ Plus the wicked stun/para on it.

Capped skill at 99 is 424 so with merits is 440... I cant reach 500 skill unless im missing something... body and legs thats 470, tathlum and symbios 480, +2 head 487, scarf 491 and i have 4 skill on blood greaves so 495 is cap for me...

I could get 496 with a better augment on greaves, but im still lacking 4 skill for a 10th shadow and i dont know if i can get that

Quadrastrike will outdo Continuum in abyssea with crit atmas and 1 JA, either CA, Efflux, or 2hr.

Antica Ring would get you to 498 but yeah, you can't actually hit 500 skill for a 10th shadow right now.
