Why would you need so much ACC? Only mob I can think of is the T5 beetle, but I would use sushi in that case.

Yeah. 25TP is worth 2.5% crit rate assuming crit rate scales linearly between points, which it more than likely does, and you're weaponskilling at exactly 100TP. It's worth more from 200TP, and nothing at 300.

Not for TP, had it ~even with Rancor/Moepapa for CDC prior to hard numbers on Athos set but haven't run them since. Should beat Rancor/Atheling on WS off the top of my head.

Ideal TP set is:

Almace/STR Shikargar/xxxx/Mantis Eye(Smart Grenade)
Ocelomeh +1/Rancor/Suppa/Brutal
Toci/Dusk +1/Epona/Rajas
Atheling/Twilight/Athos/Athos

Would Ephemeron and Nomkahpa Mittens be the ideal tp set? Over STR Shikargar and Dusk +1

Very doubtful. If you happen to have an Ephemeron lying around and can provide some concrete details on the TP drain frequency and potency then I could give you a better answer.

Mind you Neo-Nyzul gear is going to fuck with melee builds all over again before long...

Potency of bonus scales with TP iirc, 2x damage at 300 TP. I remember it procing on melee damage but don't recall if it could proc on WS or not.

Ephemeron won't make it into the top swords in any circumstance. DA mittens will be viable once the new DA/TA/QA/Haste body comes out though.

I think it's because it gives you the freedom to swap other things around, Dusk Gloves +1 > Nomkahpa Mittens/Athos Boots > new DA+3% feet for an extra DA +6% etc, while still capping Haste. You're not just getting the 3%QA out of it, you're getting 4% Haste worth of leeway in other slots as well, which were previously locked down tight to preserve max haste.

You are losing some DA and TA with this 3% QA too.
Let me check.

With 3%QA and 3%DA im getting 7% increase in hit rate per round.
Lets say 2x 61 dmg swords and around 9 fSTR before body.
2fSTR (because hands has 5STR) is around 2.85% increase in dps.
14att is around 1.75%.

So yes it will pull ahead in both melee dps and higher ws frequency tho there is one thing that is very hard to check actually. I was kinda surprised how high is BLU dex in TP set and i started wondering if you could actually push it to the point where you will get a lot crit rate with it.
In perfect set with Toci's Harness and 99 Almace (why not!) You have
+74DEX in equip
+10DEX from marches
+xx from spells set
So maybe not for top tier VW but for DC mobs in dynamis or maybe new nyzul those 21DEX from Body and this
might actually end up being +8-10crit rate.

I will agree tho that generally Denali+5 should pull ahead.

Also it's 6% DA to be gained from making the jump to Thaumas Body/Feet+Nomkahpa, not 3%. Thaumas legs are also a massive 6% Haste... It's gonna take a bit of mathing, this update.

EDIT: Or we could be happy with Legion Leggings 6, with their 4% Haste, 10DEX and 3% Crit Rate.

Athos's just seems like wasted effort now

1. I usually use BLU for lowman and I have my pocket brd with me. I actually started using BLU for duo dynamis recently because it looks like best 2box for me. Just because mobs are pretty much stunned whole fight and I can use BRD instead of WHM for duo with BLU. Im pretty sure BLU with marches is better DD than any other DD with just haste. I actually plan to get my mule Daurdabla + gjallahorn to be able to put myself march march for capped delay and Ballad III (7tic with 95 gjalla). Eventually 4th song too when I someday upg Daurdabla to 99.
2. Everything that you will use for a while is worth get it. Im pretty sure Denali+5 will take a long time to get and gimping yourself just because you will get something else in 6 months is not a solution

I'm looking at denali +5 as an analog to salvage gear. It looks sexy and everyone will be like "omg I wasted my time on x"! While in reality, it'll take months to complete a set.

No question though that just about every piece of gear that BLU got in recent updates is being replaced by something from Legion/New Nyzul.
