Lair is super easy I normally do the one in Yah down from B#2 walk in start fighting when mobs attack wor -> dream flower rotation until dead. Its been easy doing the stun -> sleep rotation on those for me while beating on the nest. might want to add more stuns and sleeps if you dieing that fast. I walk in get on the center root do work on both blu and dnc without much issue on shiva I do watch to see how peeps are doing around me if they are doing a lot of AOE I go for it Actually I may be one of the number one causes of that on the center root lol...

Yeah, I think that's the one failing of my BLU (which is my best job, alongside my RNG). My PDT set is non-existant due to inventory space. Prior to SoA, I just carried a hybrid PDT/EVA set b/c I was already carrying AGI pieces and gear that had evasion on it, so I'd throw in a couple PDT pieces when I had the inventory (and when I was doing CW-burns, I only ever had to hit 40% b/c of Atma of the Lion, and could use a PDT sword/Genbu's Shield instead of my Almace/STR Shikargar), swap to my EVA set and everything would just miss. I guess it's time to revisit that, although I do have to say, even w/ Cocoon and, at one point at the height of my frustration, Tacos, I was still getting wailed on pretty hard (again, no mule, no Prot 4/5), which made getting shadows up a total bitch. I'm learning SoA though (RL went super-bitch for about a week right when it came out, so I've been playing catch-up ever since), and appreciate the comments and suggestions

I'd also been doing the sleepga/whirl/etc thing on reives, but after last night I'm done with it.

Was a pld/rdm tanking most the mobs when I arrived, so I just went for the roots. When he lost status due to knockback and poor positioning, I rounded up everything that was eating the mages and slept them. As soon as the pld/rdm got back in (was fairly few there, so roots not going down that fast) he proceeded to diaga all 14 mobs, which then went on to rape him and whatever AH-shield he was using, and then most the other people present.

Sadly, this has been happening more and more. Someone else can do the cc now, I'm tired of this being the thanks for it.

I just started low manning the revives in foret frogs/crabs no issues just stun -> sleep when they wake repeat. The lair revives same rotation to easy. Keep cocoon up and Z mantle or occulation and maybe a few spell interruption pieces of gear could help but been a cake walk for us to 5 man...

same here I am done sleeping anything at all, you sleep things and BSTs proceed to assault their pets on shit (which cannot hold hate mind you) or someone just thinks its funny to DoT everything. Yeah fuck that, if you eat mobs eat them not gonna bother anymore with sleepgas.

Yeah, literally everytime I have tried to keep everything slept some full derp PLD will stroll in, Diaga everything in attempts to super tank shit but completely fails to pull hate and I eat the floor. BLU is definitely the most fun job for reives for me personally, I am just done with helping others when on my server you get PLDs that run in and start tanking a knot when there is 5+ mobs walking about killing people.

Hmmm I always actually pull and keep hate with my bst. But then I fight 1 mob at a time with my bst. And well even with snarling ever 30 seconds my pet has a really hard time keeping hate off of me lol. Or if there aren't many people on roots I might send the pet to the roots while I fight a add but never pet just on add. Charmed ones might be fine but can't charm mid reive and jugs eat sooo much dmg from mobs of that lvl.

What is the current (if any) working BLU Spell set addon/plugin/third party tool? I play my BLU a lot less because I get frustrated having to change my spells so often.

There's one for Ashita called ImmortalLion.

There was a third party program posted on the Windower forums a few years ago that would set spells for you, too, but when I last looked, it hadn't been updated in awhile.

There was one I used a while back called simpleblue, but it gets shitty when dual-boxing, it won't let you change what instance it is attaching itself to, and you need to be at 29.5+ fps or it skips spells and sets the wrong spells.

That being said, I don't use it anymore, and thus, don't generally use blu. If only SE would let us set spells with macros. I wouldn't even give a fuck about the 1 minute cooldown if we could set with macros, tbh.

Do you guys not arrange your blu list in such a way the general spells that get slotted are all arranged together?

Does any of the Salvage2/SoA gear screen must-haves? Not much catching my eye out of the Morrigan+1 set (outside of Requiescat macro) beyond feet for physical spell set, and Fea's Cuffs for skill/mods. SoA Thurandaut gear, not seeing anything other than hat potentially for CDC (using Toci's set currently). Nothing really stands out to me.

Fea's Feet (acc matters again!) and cuffs for physical casts. Morrigan body for Sanguine Blade/Nukes/idle/REQ. Thurandaut head for most physical casts/CDC and its possible to work into a TP set with some adjustments. Thurandaut body is nice for BT. Thurandaut feet are good for a PT set/Magic Fruit.

Thurandaut hands are quite nice for TP unless you have Nomkahpa. In addition to PDT/etc as mentioned, the feet can also be good for Requiescat if you don't have Thaumas. About the only piece that isn't useful in some way for BLU is the legs, due to Mavi+2.

BLU can also wear Orvail. Head/body good for Requiescat and solid for cures. Legs potentially for precast depending on what else you have.

Somewhat happy with my current TP set of Oce head(I really should purchase a +1), Nom, Thaum body/leg/feet, w/ usual gear for the rest. I wasn't able to see a way of maintaining gear-haste cap with Thuran hat though, without something wasteful like setting offhand to my Ephemeron.

On the physical spell note, is there a recommend skill to hang about for modern content before focusing on stat mods? I'm at 491 (w/ merits) in my old macro using AF1+1 body, AF2+2 head, Symbios gloves (which I want to replace with Fea's), AF3+2 legs, Mavi neck/ammo, and Athos feet thrown in since nothing better on hand.

Feels like I should be making a second set of gear swaps that has more STR thrown instead into those same slots, rather than pumping skill. Going to have to get those Fea's feet made also. Least I got the 45 for it already.....

Yeah, I got Nomnoms and Thaumus feet here. Leg precast I've been using Homam legs, and working on getting those turned into Enif. Orvail looks like a decent substitute for Requie since I won't be upgrading my Morri body within a month.

Not used my BLU much in SoA though, so I've yet to see if Requie will give me more consistent results than CDC w/o buffs.

Spell set I generally use for Reive:

    Whirl of Rage
    Benthic Typhoon
    Quad. Continuum
    Delta Thrust
    Heavy Strike
    Sudden Lunge
    Barbed Crescent

    Triumphant Roar
    Animating Wail
    Cocoon
    Battery Charge
    Magic Fruit

    MP Drainkiss
    Dream Flower
    Actinic Burst
    Winds of Promy.

    Blazing Bound
    Fantod
    Mortal Ray

Have been doing /WAR as of late since Whirl of Rage and Actinic Burst are usually adequate to get Dream Flower off and I always have a healer with me, however if you decide to go /RDM for extra safety, solo, or just Stoneskin/Phalanx/Aquaveil, then switch MP Drainkiss out for Empty Thrash to get Double Attack, Convert will cover the loss of MP Drainkiss if you end up running low on MP despite momentum bonuses. If you want to sacrifice some offense, you can swap out Barbed Crescent and Mortal Ray for MP Drainkiss and enough points on top of the two you'd have left anyway to set Chaotic Eye and Zephyr Mantle for Conserve MP depending on how defensive you want to get, otherwise spend the two points on whatever.
What actually has MP in the new areas though? I haven't noticed anything actually having MP. Not that I've really gone out of my way for it, mind you.

As far as subs go: I started out on /DNC, didn't like it because I needed more DD for higher bayld, swapped to /RDM, got bored and went back to /DNC and that's been netting me at least just as much bayld (if not more) since the update to healing returns. I've tried /WAR a few times and really enjoyed it, but the lack of a native sneak/invis option has me leaning toward other options, even if they aren't as fun. lol

Matamata, Acuex, uhh I'm sure there's more. If you're doing Reives then the Roots/Crags have MP too.

Ah, didn't know about the roots/crags. That makes it worth it right there.

And, yeah, I meant in Reives. Sorry.

Was anyone else extremely disappointed to see job adjustments without any mention of blue magic (generally, when there's new content/mobs and job adjustments, blue magic is added)? I got my hopes up, only to have them crashing down. Maybe next update.... ._.
