So is it still impossible for windower to somehow make Blu Spell Allocation macros? Or am I just exceedingly optimistic thinking it can be done ;/

I don't think that'll be possible until Square add a line of code into the game to make it "legal' (like /bluset "Frightful Roar").
Bots can do it, keystroke capture macro things can do it. Belkin has the Nostromo line which has some software like that which goes with their extra keypad thing, which is pretty handy http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductP ... _Id=157024Originally Posted by Russta
It's a bit of work to set up though, and if your spell list changes much it's probably not worth it.
nostromo pads are great, i use the n52... but yeah, macros on them arent as great as one might think...
while they work as well as normal macros, since its software emulating a keyboard keypress, sometimes it can messup in laggy situations.
also, nostromo pads for things like... long macros (spell allocation for example) wont account for lag so you'll need some rather decent timeouts for it to be completely successful..
and, having the window in focus is another downside... (wanted to do direct-scancode mapping to link to ffxi while surfing the web so i could control my character...
this didnt work out as well as i had hoped >_<
dont know if cliff / whoever implemented the features that would make this possible, perhaps i'll check one day...
Is it me or unless you save the link to a page you cant go to page 80ish of 113 without the pain of the next/previous button?

Subtract the bolded number by 15*(how many pages prior to current page) to get to that page.
Hit 68 tonight, Warm-Up feels fucking amazing but anyone have solid figures on it?
1/1 Warm-Up
1/1 Firespit
1/1 Frost Breath (after the initial try)
0/10 Tail Slap
hit 56 tonight...time to go out and test these gloves.
They don't work.Originally Posted by Daemonxel

I'm thinking 5-10 acc/evasion.Originally Posted by Russta
Warm Up costs too much MP to keep up constantly IMO.
In normal circumstances I'd agree but last few parties I've had Sanction refresh, auto-refresh, conserve MP and my Red Mage is a machine so that ones always on too. I can run back to our Bard for Ballad if I need to as well. Can't even remember the last time I came remotely close to running out of MP.Originally Posted by Not Kuno
Fitting all the spells and traits in I want is becoming a nightmare... I'm not sure what I'm going to sacrifice for Hysteric Barrage at 69 and Cannonball at 70 which is why I wanted to know if anyone had solid figures on BLU's conserve MP so I could drop auto-refresh.
I don't know what level you are but when you get hysteric barrage and eventually disseverment you'll be running out of mp frequently. Unless you suck.Originally Posted by Russta
Cannonball isnt worth setting for exp parties. Damage modifier is defense so there really is no point on using it for exp. You definitely do not want to drop auto refresh. Why don't you list all the spells you set so I can tell you which to drop?
Currently level 68 and spent the last two levels leveling on... secret! Not really the worlds biggest one but it's one of the few camps I've never seen anyone leveling at, covers a span of ToAU where there's no alternative and they're EASY. If you wanna know, POL me. Anyway, this is what I've had set, most of which for the traits;Originally Posted by Razz

The starred ones I'd really prefer not to drop. I'm starting to think of dropping Auto-Refresh, 12 points is so much for only one practical spell I use almost every mob (Frightful Roar).
Drop warm up and chaotic eye for barrage and POWER ATTACK, you dont need cannonball for EXP.
Just consider the traits too. If Chaotic Eye goes, Frost Breath goes.Originally Posted by Jooeetheplatypus
Dropping those 3 should give you around 11 spare points, which you can put in Hysteric Barrage, and Dimentional Death(For acc bonus). Fill the last slot with Poison Breath or something.Head Butt*

Ah yes forgot about conserve MP. Then I'd probably drop healing breeze. Between diamondhide and magic fruit and the fact that you probably arent the only healer you should be fine.
Edit: Falconblade's plan is good too if you don't really need diamondhide.
Subbing /nin I assume?Originally Posted by Russta
Edit: I think what spells you set should depend more on the ability/competency of your party. If you have mages who are on the ball for example, refueling, healing breeze and magic fruit really wouldnt be necessary. Personally I never used Warm-Up in exp, but I was usually /thf. Never used Diamondhide either (I set it a couple times when I first got it, but the mp cost and the fact that usually no one aside from the tank benefits from it in exp made me take it out)
Unless of course you used them as hate tools maybe as /nin trying to hold hate? Dunno. Like I said I usually subbed /thf, and would go with base "needed" spells, then after the "need" spells I would add STR spells for damage on SATACA.
Randomly I use cannonball in merit PT for 1 main reason... it outpulls most people, and its good at taking mobs mainly because it does 250+ damage when it hits making the mob come at you.
Long spell range, .5sec casting... what other way to drive bard pullers crazy or people running up to provoke/stun/flash ? XD
