Absolutely Correct.

However Chaotic Eye does not do that because it's SINGLE TARGET.

Awful Eye is AoE.

I kinda hate how when you turn around and even if you do SATA the "sneak attack" damage effect takes place but the trick attack dosne't and whatever you jsut hit for possible 1000+ is going to try to rape you even if you were behind a nin or trying to MPK a bard or something...

if you tell someone something is AoE, they're going to think you mean that it will hit everyone in a spherical area around the mob.

Which is why people use conal, frontal, etc. Yes, it is technically AoE, but if you say "Geotic Breath is AoE", most people are going to say you're wrong unless they're semantics whores like you.

I didn't read the last page but saw that you were discussing the directional spells and I had a question about a couple..maybe its just me but Magnetite Cloud in Ballista seems to only be able to hit one person, same with Radiant Breath, very rarely will I ever be able to hit more than one person with either spell..is there some kind of secret to hitting more than one person? Or is it luck? Sorry if its been answered I'm still sifting through all 119 pages.

Magnetic Breath and Radiant Breath are conal, but their cone is really, really small. Like, unless your two targets are engaged in hawt buttsechs it's basically a single-target spell.

Seems like people are mostly agreeing with me.. Just you seem uncapable of understanding the meaning of AoE.

anyway only single target Gaze spells are Chaotic Eye and Light of Penance. rest are AoE.

Edit: i mean wtf would anyone mean spherical AoE when talking about Gaze spells duh!

And even then, they're saying things are "conal" while acknowledging that they're technically AoE, which is my point.

Anyway, only AoE Gaze is Yawn, single targets are Light of Penance and Chaotic Eye, and Awful Eye, Jettatura, and Sandspray are conal.

oh dear why i waste my time talking to someone who refuses to believe 2 BLU/WHMs can't duo Bones to level 40 efficiently is beyond me.

"Efficiently" is one thing, person claiming they leveled faster than me duoing Lv.+15 ITs is entirely another.

People tend to level at a decent pace duoing, because they're doing it consistantly. Getting 2k/hour for 6 hours is better EXP than 5k/hour for 2 hours, but that just makes you a retard that sat around in the Garlaige shithole for 6 hours when you could've been partying.

No, no its not a topic about BLU, but an arguement about the phrase AoE. You could get this same arguement with Dungeon and Dragons or World of Warcraft or a some tactical miniature game like Warhammer. BLU's topic's record of never been derailed in a billion pages has ended.

No it hasnt. The topic of player casted aoes not circles centered on the mob was not relevent in FFXI until BLU. Its a thing unique to BLU. This is all on topic.

Lets get this back on track:

Has anybody figured out the formula for Magic Fruit yet? Whm/Blus have reported bigger numbers with healing breeze then Blu/Whms with similar mnds, so its rumored that Healing Magic skill is somehow taken into effect with Blu healing, even though the skill is innate.

Actually its not so much a rumor as it is fact, since its pretty easy to notice the difference between /war and /whm. It'll be a good +50ish healed, even though your mnd will only be a few points higher.

Anyone got the formula?
