Is it possible to activate a staging area by warping to the zone for assault?
No because you can't warp there unless you activated the staging area first...Originally Posted by aurik
I thought you could do assault in a staging point that you haven't activated yet? Is this incorrect?
You might be able to but you would have to walk there and activate the staging point anyway, so there really isn't much of a point to it. Seems rather necessary to just go and activate all of them just for ease of use.
...if you use the Assault Warp you land right next to the NPC to activate the staging point. Is there some logic in the game that says you can't activate the staging point before/after assault? How does it know you didn't trek there?Originally Posted by Ankiseth
I am under the impression you can only use the assault warp to a staging point after you have already activated the point, because you travel to that one place in Whitegate to port there, and it won't let you port to somewhere you haven't activated.

Why so vague..? Where exactly is this unlocked door and how do u get there? Why draw such a large circle and say "it's in the general vicinity"... What's with all the large vague circles people keep drawing...?
It's because they want you to fail.
Be grateful for the information you have given.
You can not warp to one of the assault points without getting the staginng aread first. I tried lol
Why don't you go to reef without a map and find out why instead of trying to leechOriginally Posted by Socomtwo

I've done all 5 staging points they have desks in the commissions agency for, and you cannot ever go to the assault start through the Hall of Passage without Attuning to the runic portal at that staging point beforehand.
You can however run like was said above, very tedious '3'
What I find is annoying, is the names of the zones you do the assualt in, are different from the names of the staging points, which are sometimes way different then the zones you find them in ._. Like I didn't even know I HAD Lebros cavern or Periqia opened, becuase the name of the staging points.. aren't "Periqia staging point" or "Lebros cavern staging point" =w=

It was like 1 AM when we found it, and I was running on practically no sleep. I didn't record the exact position of where we found it because a) I was tired and barely made it there in the first place, b) using landmarks for identification of the exact position on the map was beyond my cognitive ability given my level of exhaustion of the time, and c) I really don't need to explain myself to you ... I went out of my way to share what information I DID have, which I could have very easily just not posted at all, in the hopes that perhaps someone else using that information might be able to supplement it and pinpoint the exact position where the gate is. While you may have to work a little bit to find the gate (god forbid you actually do some work on your own), at least you now know that the gate exists, it doesn't require a key, it takes you where you need to go, AND it is a shorter route.
So, in conclusion, STFU, GTFO, etc.
please dont take that the wrong way.... i really do appreciate your information. I was really searching in there for hours looking for the way based on the big circle in the original post.. thats how i came up with the blue route. Youre right that your information will lead to the specific route map too. Thank you.

Updated the map a bit with new stitching.
the 'shorcut?' in the above post includes a step up so its doesnt work.
For what it's worth, I THINK it is right where the line points. One thing I know for sure is that get there WITHOUT crossing the ship at H-9. We were on our way to the exit indicated by the blue path, but one of our party members got lost and found it by accident, so it took us a while to back-track and find where he got lost (especially after he met his demise to an imp outside, so he couldn't zone back in for us to get a position). There is a locked gate near the unlocked one, so if you find the locked gate, you are close. If I recall correctly, the unlocked gate is just southwest of the locked one, but I'm pulling this from memory.
I've updated my image (you may have to refresh to see it) with a more specific approximation of where I think the gate was ... it may be outside the circle, but I think it is in that general area. I believe that the new map you stitched in is accurately located, it is just that I think the gate is where those two maps meet, not so far SE ...

I think that the thing you have listed as the possible "Sykes Gate" location is where the map transitions to this map:

Most likely at G-9 on that map.
