Eh whatever, I expected replies as such, the drama has made so many people jaded to the point that they feel each post they need to make must be defensive or offensive.

You were the one whining. Your post generated the replies.

    It's hardly drama :
    - No names were mentioned
    - Nobody is arguing over the players or style, just the point of being powerlevelled or not

If someone disagrees with your point of view and decides to become vocal about it, it's not drama, it's called a discussion.

whine ( P ) Pronunciation Key (hwn, wn)
    v. whined, whin·ing, whines
    v. intr.
To utter a plaintive, high-pitched, protracted sound, as in pain, fear, supplication, or complaint.
To complain or protest in a childish fashion.
To produce a sustained noise of relatively high pitch: jet engines whining.
On so 2 of those options are out since you cannot hear any sounds I am making. Where is the complaining, I am not complaining, just asked why people would want to rush. Complaining would imply that I had some seeded jealousy or personal gain in the matter. I don't, and I don't care on a personal level of why they are rushing.

As far as your definition of drama...ok? I never said this was drama I said drama has forced people to be ever increasingly rude.

If someone disagrees with your point of view and decides to become vocal about it, it's not drama, it's called a discussion.
Actually it is called a debate. In order to be a discussion we would have to actually intellectual repose, which is not happening as it's more or less a sarcastic response to response situation.

So much AF is bullshit, it's not necessary, it helps, but it's not necessary. And probably like most AF, very sitauational.

COR got JSE, the BRD/COR/RDM lvl50 body.
Just because AF isn't useful at 75 doesn't mean its not useful. Most AF is useful at some point. As for DRK AF, the helm is used 60-75 and I personally have used all the other AF at least once, and still use the helm (even before I got it +1), hands (as +1), and legs (for soloing) quite often. It doesn't need to be the best at every level to be worthwhile.

    Stating the obvious?

Now the topic at hand is if a COR can still be effective/function in the party without AF or JSE, not if AF is useful. This person is clearly saying NO, when there is no evidence either way declaring if it's going to make or break the corsair.

What stat is roll potency based on? is it soley luck? af that would increase potentcy of the role might be pretty good, or decrease the chance of bust?

Actually I am not saying that it can't be effective at all, in fact one of the very statements you quoted of me has me using the term "possible benefits." Benefits does not equate to effective it equates to more effective. Otherwise how do you explain the Red Mages with no AF in their 60s etc.

Everyone posting in this thread about leveling too fast needs a gigantic GTFO kuno card. Do you know where you are

    What's with the rush?

I think it's beneficial that some people are leveling the jobs quickly. They can report back to us what to expect and the nuances of each job. Keep up the good work I say.

I agree that AF is useful UP to a point. My THF pre 72 wore thf hands (then replaced with war gloves), leggings, and feet. At 75, all my AF's been replaced with Galliard pants, THF afv2 leggings, and war gloves (still ; ;.)

Really, it depends on the stats that comes with the COR AF. If the COR AF has a lot of skill/ability thingies, it would be more useful than a lot of the equips that's currently out there for COR.

The faster ppl level, the more they can tell the low lvl's what works best.

I think it's good that some ppl are lvl 30+ already. Someone has to figure out where to get the AF and tell the rest of us

The biggest thing people have neglected to mentoin is how *New* the jobs are. While yes, there are JSE and other equipment that raises some of the main stats used by other jobs: IE: INT for BLM, the stats required and correlations between stats and new jobs are currently unknown. Additionally, some equipment pre-update gave blanket skill ups for multiple jobs, the level 74 Barret being an example of such. However, these previously made pieces do not include blue magic, or any other new job related abilities.

I think that one these new AF pieces are released, we will see unique attribute bonuses, which will be the best for the new jobs at this time.

However, something overlooked is the 'hand-to-hand' gear and other new equipment that has been released on the Treasures of Aht Urghan page. I believe the hand-to-hand gear will be PUP only to compensate for it's C in hand-to-hand, and allow it to be a more viable co-meleeing job.

I actually laugh atleast at the people that are speed-levelling BLU.

They have little to no spells because they just sped through the levels, not caring about getting the useful spells.

Which would you rather have: Advice from a lvl 30 BLU with 5 spells and severly gimped Blue Magic skill or a lvl 8 BLu with 12 spells and capped skill?

i would rather have advice from the higher level person he would have access to blue magic that i don't/can't easily get, rather then a level 9 who can tell me how awsome sandspin and cocoon are.

I'm having fun with Corsair and plan on continuously leveling to 75 within the next few weeks. I don't have /rng available either so I am going to experiment with /war /whm and /nin. Who cares if we don't know everything about it yet or have the optimal gear/setup/whatever ready, it is still fun and new.

AF/JSE won't make or break the jobs, and we can only figure out what's best from people trying the shit out.
