Before the burning, that janitor raped Allesa, so maybe she got pregnant, who knows, and that's why the janitor was all fucked up in the stall in her dream world, for revenge.Originally Posted by Lockecole

Yah, I was telling my brother that, but we came to the conclusion that she seemed so young, like 9-10...maybe she was older, just seemed kinda young to get pregnant and actually survive the childbirth etc. Ontop of that, it looked like they took her straight from the school to that room where she was burned, within a couple days at least. I knew she was the "good in Allesa" but it still kinda confuses me, as she was actually a reallife child, that was left and put in that orphanage. So she had to of come from someone.Originally Posted by Almaa
Saw it today. First impressions? Awesome movie! Even tho I didn't play all the games I played the first one till part where the guy is in School, so the scene of him in back alley way was so dead on how she was walking and camera angle moving,m just like in game.
Scene with Pyramid head and Annie getting "stripped" definatly put an "Oh shit" expression on my face. I feel bad for Cybil dying.
Sequel is definatly coming, can't wait. ^^
I think the ending was just leading on to a Silent Hill 2. The first movie could have been a prelude or something. Like in Silent Hill 1 the game that guy looks for his daughter and his wife...that might happen in Silent Hill 2 the movie...who knows
i thought the acting and writing could use some work. most people in theater just laughed when the little girl was like "who did this mommy? i dont like that"
but overall i thought it was cool, needed more pyramid head and more "other world" scenes. hopefully the second movie follows the story of #2. the story in Silent Hill 2 was pretty amazing. but yeah, definately needed more pyramid head
The little girl was the only actor I didn't like, otherwise I thought they were all good actors.Originally Posted by Belkin
And I agree about Pyramid head, definatly best scene in the movie. I love the siren calls too =)
perhaps it wasnt the acting then, just the writing. if they got somebody else to play the girl, and a better writer, and maybe one more "other world" scene, that movie would have been the best movie ive seen in a long time.
I loled pretty hard when the girl says "look at me, i'm burning!"
some dumbass in the theater yelled "OH SHIT!!!" when that happened, like it was scary or somethingOriginally Posted by Kross
Better writing might've helped, maybe the lines weren't as strong or something. But uhh, I don't recall anyother lines being bad apart from the "Who drew this Mommy! I don't like it!" and "Look at me, I'm burning!".Originally Posted by Belkin
The girl as the "good girl" was an awful actress. She somehow is better as the "evil girl". Someone already mentioned it in the thread but when she said "Mommy! I don't like that!" I immediately thought the movie was going to blow.
I've never been a fan of any child actor/actress. As far as child actors go I think she did a great job. One of the best parts was the "Look, i'm on fire." thing.. freaked me out lolOriginally Posted by Anyway
Well that girl from Man on Fire is always good, I can never remember her name.
Dakota Fanning. Also had Radha Mitchell (Rose) in it. She played a pretty good pissed-off mom. Holy shit that movie owned. If Jesus was black, an actor, and a badass... he'd be Denzel Washington.Originally Posted by Anyway
I agree with this a fucking 100%.Originally Posted by Lockecole
Most definitely one of my favorite movies.Originally Posted by Elcura
Here are a few theories I came up with (btw, I'm terrible with names and shit, so cut me some slack):
Aleesa is the daughter of Satan, hence her being a "witch" and not having a true father. However, she was still innocent when the church people burned her. She was raped by that janitor, but didn't get pregnant. Sharon was just the remaining innocent side of her that left when Aleesa got burned. (She split into The Reaper and Sharon). The only way Aleesa/the Reaper could get revenge on the church is if they could find a way to get the mother into Silent Hill and bring them into the church (Sharon was just a lure).
I also think that at the very end of the movie, the mother and sharon are still dead and stuck in Silent Hill which is why the house still looked like the ashy fog when they came in, and why the husband didn't see them but could only "feel" them. Also Sharon and the Reaper became one again after Sharon opened her eyes.
Just a few random speculations, but I have to agree...
Bad ass fucking movie.
I loved this movie but.
I Dont think they are death, atleast not Rose, Because she did called her Husband at the end, and he could only hear weird noises, + the whole sensing her and The door at the last part.
If you played the games, Theres basically 3 dimensions in Silent Hill:
1.- The town where theres no way out, this bein Alessa's Memories, and its broken since she died before she could ever go out and see outside of Silent Hill.
2.- The dimension that Rose is trapped in is basically Alessa's Mems but since she reunited with her good half she has now Sharon's Memories of the outside world. (Remember that Dahlia said that the dark one could open the doors as pleased)
This 2 being Limbo Or purgatory as you wish to call it.
3.- And the Dark World being "Hell"
Also im Glad they didnt made Pyramid Head A "Main Bad Guy" Since his role in the Game isnt that of a bad guy, not gonna spoil it incase u havent played SH2.
Acting Wise, I really liked the acting from Cibill's and Rose's Actresses, And that "Priestress"(sp) was a b*tch!
If theres a sequel, i doubt it will be a direct one from this.
<3 the Wire scene + the Skinning.
Wasn't Morgan Freeman God in that Jim Carey movie?Originally Posted by Lockecole
