Homing Ring, Tav Ring, Mea Ring, if you cant get to an OP that way, than I guess warp Taru to Jeuno ftw.
While those are indeed great things to have, they burden on some people's inventory. For someone like where I have 4-5 jobs worth of gear on me at all times, every slot counts. That is why I have WHM 53 and just Tele-Vazhl. It sucks atm, because Windy is in control and I have to pay 1600g to OP back to San d'Oria, but what would happen if OPs I use got taken over by Beastmean, like Meadows have been for 2 weeks on Bahamut now? It would suck big donkey balls...Originally Posted by Jawas
The Taru seems to be the most optimal way to go, but he can be captured during Besiege, no? I wonder how that works. I'm gonna make an ally just to guard his little ass.
I can barely hold gear for either of my two mains at one time -- i.e., all of my red mage gear -- much less even THEORIZE how one might carry 4-5 jobs worth of gear. O.O
However, I nearly wept for joy when I got my mog locker and could dump a bunch of my ranger stuff in there after static and not have to mule everything over. So nice.
I didn't think about the homing/return rings; that + tele is a good suggestion... with my whm at only 40 (no vahzl for me, wah) and PUP looking to be about to suck up all my free time, I had been fretting over this issue. If we could be guaranteed a painless wait to get back and forth from there to home city, then it would be perfect... but I doubt anything like that will become available (if at all) until after the lag/craze dies down a little.

Actually setting Home Point in Al Zahbi seems to be the best thing to do for me. NPC warping you to Jeuno is just near when if you HP in Jeuno you'll have to get to Mhaura to get back to Aht Urhgan. As for the Ouposts, i usually just Tav. Ring if the region is not the Beastmen's property or just Tele-Holla and go to Valkurm Outpost with a Return Ring, since i don't have Tele-Vahzl. If i ever set my HP somewhere else (Bastok for low leveling or such), the Olduum Ring is nice but gets you pretty far from Al Zahbi.
Aht Urhgan Whitegate is my Home NationOriginally Posted by Gamutstreet
basically I talk to the taru. Then I run to Qufim use the return ring which brings me right to the OP dude.
If Qufim is owned by Beastmen then....well I use my Vazhl Ring. then OP back.
Being able to use Mazurka makes Tele-Mea > Kolshushu OP a lot more bearable. Not to mention Chocobo prices have been tagging 5k at the Mea crag as of late lol.
I don't set my hp to Aht Urgan, but the Oldum ring is a pretty nifty way to get there quickly from anywhere. Granted it is a 20:00 useage item, but are you really going to go there more than once a day? If you are set your hp there.Originally Posted by BRP
If you insist on setting your hp in Aht Urgan and don't have whm to 42 for vahzl, purchase a Homing ring for cp and either use the taru to warp you close to Jeuno and walk to a zone that your nation controls to use your Homing ring, or if your like me and couldn't stand leveling whm past 37 for your subjob, tele to whichever crag your nation has control of, then use the Homing ring to get to the outpost quick and op back. Mea -> Burbuwhatever peninsula outpost seems to be the closest OP to a crag if you don't want to use cp's on a ring or your ring isn't recharged yet. The bird prices there are high though....I thought they fixed that![]()
I think on Asura we tagged as high as 16k or so a bird, and even now it's still floating right around 10k.Originally Posted by Daahan
For those people who bitch about inventory space..... MOG LOCKER. I was 80/80 and 50/60 now with Mog Locker I free'd up 40 slots. I have made at least 20 Bronze pieces from quests. SO dont say it cost too much. As long as Tav isnt beastman controled, the best way to OP is Tav ring to OP and your on your way. If thats already used use the warp taru and homing ring or just get on an airship.
I still keep my HP in sandy =(
I outpost a LOT. I think I've OP'd to terrigan 4 times in one day.
What quests did you do?Originally Posted by Jawas
Main storyline gives you 2 silver and 10 bronze, as well as 150 IS which can be turned into 7 more bronze. If you did your wildcat quests, you also start out with 1 mythril. Further, there's the groceries quest (3 bronze) the letters quest (1 bronze) the aydeewa map quest (1 bronze) etc etc etc.
It's also really easy to earn IS; go join a merit pt in mamool, mire, or just solo/duo stuff.
