Why not use a grand temple knight's collar instead of a PCC then? If the attack is what sets the torque apart from the charm like the extra attack per round potential and 5 damage on a ridill sets it apart from the joyeuse...

Difference is killing Fafnir might not drop Ridill in tons of kills, spanning over a month to several months.... but at least the rest of the LS gets abj, so-so rare/ex gear and get to lot on materials... Jailers you get a decent chance at torque, some ok to good weapons, pop item for next tier... and that is for only 2-3 jobs maximum... sea though can take relatively less time to max out on. While Kings can take forever... well if you are solely camping for Ridill. Both suck lol.

Camping for only the ridill has already been acknowledged as a stupid and pointless retarded endeavor. Camping for the ridill while still obtaining abjurations that are far and away some of the BEST HNM gear available to the jobs that can wear it, money drops, and even decent options if not clearly the best for said jobs on the other hand...

Yes and when Fafnir doesn't drop ridill he drops nothing. Except a dragon talon. And other money drops. And other rare/ex items. And abjurations. LETS NOT FORGET ANDVARANAUTS. And we spend only 10 minutes of the camp actually paying attention.

Don't forget the Ridill's 2-3 attacks a round vs the 1 to 2 on joyeuse, guaranteed 2 attacks and possibly 3 is MUCH better than 1 to 2 not to mention the attack and delay differences... Ridill kills anything dropped off of Sea Jailers period.

PCC is good for all DD jobs.. while torques are specialized to one to 3 jobs max that it is useful for. Also PCC takes up one inventory slot for a neck piece for several jobs. Torques take up multiple slots. Argus is a bitch to camp though, but a rare/ex version is nice. But that is not a Kings vs Jailers thing. That is AH gear vs Jailers.

You might be right about a greater pay off for a smaller group of people farming sea. The problem is, no LS is going to take down JoL or AV without at least 36+ people. Not that it takes 36 people to kill JoL but there will inevitably be people who can't be online when you pop him. I'm not saying we have the optimal number of members in the LS or anything but to accomplish a lot is going to take a significant number of players and some people, unfortunately, will never see torques.

18 main alliance, 1 add pt for aerns (atleast how my LS fights it), and 1 outside pt of healers.

My point was, you CAN NOT do everything in sea with merely 24 people in your LS (despite the fact that 24 people could beat JoL). People can't be online 24 hours a day. Do you get it?

Well a 1h jailer weapon can give you 4 attacks per round, and Ridill is "occasionally attacks 2-3 times" so it can attack 1-to-3 times per round.

Hardly.. My LS farmed Tiamat for 3+ months just to sell the drops. We didn't keep anything at all, the only reason to kill it was for money. I could care less what other people think of it, people don't think BST and SMN deserve to kill HNMs here, and some LS including one of the top 10 LSes on Big kills attempted to MPK us at Tiamat multiple times. They never succeeded, and it made it even sweeter to sell Gaiters 3 times for 150m+

wow a 2.5 mil (I'll be nice and say 4 mil, I'm being VERY generous in this) talon split amongst 18+ people. Someone before commented on 30-40 mil vrtra drops being shit because its among 40 ppl. So 30-40 mil amongst 40 ppl = bad, but 4 mil amongst 18+ = good.

Once again, everything makes sense.

You said you need 36+...then you changed it to "well you dont need that many people, its extra for when ppl arent on". 18+6+6 = 30, and that's for an easy kill.

Gilseller tendencies fulfilled:

1. Restrict yourself to specific NMs, due to jobs, numbers, and/or skill, in this case Tiamat.
2. Kill said NMs to sell any and all drops.
3. Do so in a manner than pains any competent LS to watch.
4. Fall victim to MPK attempts, successful or not.


It's not meant to be an insult; if I were only a BST, I'm sure I'd try to get a piece of the Tiamat pie, but the method with which you do that is still equivalent to gilsellers.
