It is rotting more if it goes to someone that has a level one PLD and will never level it and have it sit in their Storage forever. Oh yeah not to confuse Ifrit people but we got a new crop of a few 60+ PLD and 2x 60+ MNK.. not looking like we are not rotting shit in the near future anymore... that was a past thing... but yeah once they get it.. the giving away shit will most likely continue. If you give something away IT IS ROT. Others benefiting from your work does not make your LS better. You might as well have wiped to the mob if you're giving shit away.

Which lends to the concept that if you're giving everything away except, say, a ridill, then that's no different than camping just for the ridill. I see rotting as being put to no use by anyone in any reasonable amount of time whatsoever. Sometimes the level has nothing to do with it, my DRG is 75 and all my gear for it is rotting anyway. If I have to give a hrotti away so I cna make use of the aegish, the ehands, and the nhead that drop, so be it.

Nah you can tell people ahead of time that you know need shit that do not have the opportunity to get claim... you just know what is going to rot... sometimes it rots anyway. Depends on the situation and who is there. Fucking AV thread turned into rotting gear. Well we got a couple new PLDs and some new MNKs, so yeah guess what.

We rot E.Hands pretty often. Same with Aegishat and probably Hrotti. I'd even consider giving an Abj to someone who can't use it rotting it. Unfortunately we had an E.Body rot a month ago due to the guy supposed to get it zoning out.

However, there's always someone who wants A.Hands or A.Feet, and even N.Head, so Fafnir is always worthwhile.

As far as camping for money goes, we've done it. Every day 2 Behemoth when you have 6 people there, they're there for the hides, not just the TOD. People use it to supplement their gil (some use it as their primary method heh). Occasionally stuff is used for crafting (hides for Dalms, wyrm horns for DH). Ultimately it's secondary to getting gear from those NMs for people, though.
