Well since people were arguing that the difference between PPC and Faith Torque was almost neglible (aside from which is easier to get), let's focus on something a little more important. Aurik claims to use a SH+1, so he believes +2 acc > +20 attack(shura togi)? I assume he is rich enough to uncurse 1 if he has a PCC, SH+1, 2 Snipers+1, and CC at 100.

And if he doesn't have abj.: you've been MNK this long and don't have 1 yet?(afaik its also your only 75) but you have Black Belt? I don't understand.

Well afaik any LS that camps Kings (his BB items) has the ability to do sky or has done sky, or did he camp ToD's and buy/getforfree extra BB item drops from other LS?

Just because he doesn't have something doesn't mean he believes it to be inferior to what he's wearing currently. I use Osode full time because I don't have a Togi, but that doesn't mean I think Osode is better. Sometimes shit happens and you can't get whatever item for whatever reason, doesn't matter what job you are.

I hardly ever use my Fort Torque anymore, and I'm a Rid/Joy user. Sometimes Axe/Rid but normally Rid/Joy. I originally bought PCC because the market crashed and I thought it was going to go up again, I never intended to actually use it. After actually trying it out, it hardly ever leaves my neck now. I don't want PCC to be better, I would much rather sell it and be 25m richer.

Before I got some of the ACC gear I have now aswell as Aggressor merits, I tried Haste Belt v.s Life Belt. ACC with Haste Belt was 80%, Life Belt was 87%. 7% increas from +10 ACC. Now, that's not a very controlled experiment and there's still random variables that could have played a factor, but the point still stands. +ACC, even a small amount, goes a LONG way. People are using to using Sushi where +10 ACC does virtually nothing. However, when talking about which piece is the "best", I'm going to be talking about the optimal setup, and that means using Meat.

I test all the time things on my Warrior to get the best damage out of it, I actually make sure to see what's better and what's not. The only times I've lost in damage lately is when trying something new or in a new area where I'm unfimiliar with the mobs, and not in my optimal setup. Hell, I just got out of a party where I beat one JP Ridill WAR by 500 damage per fight, and the other by 600. Now I'm not saying I'm the best ever, nobody will ever beat me, blah blah blah. I actually wouldn't be suprised if MNK/WAR would beat me now since MNK/NINs now come suprisingly close after they added tons of goodies for the job since I lasted parted with a /WAR. My point is though, I try to get the best out of my job, and it shows when I go up against other people of my job. And PCC is the best neck piece for it.

Now I'm not saying PCC > Torque everytime. Both are situationally better. But the people saying those that use PCC over Torque are idiots, that's just plain stupid. They're both situationally better then the other.

when you camp Fafnir exclusively for Ridill ? (I dont believe BG really need any aegish's, hrotti's, advaraunts (lol), Faf abjus at this point).

we don't go purposely to camp Fafnir, we go to DA to camp Nidhogg.

Day 1 and 2 after Nidhogg pops are usually not required, in the similar sense that camping LoO is never required. but when it's at a reasonable time the people who care about Ridill will go and their close friends will go and that will amount to about a dozen people that can easily kill Fafnir.

we've had in the last 2 months, 2 new people that just leveled BLM to the 70+ range. because we rarely do Sky, that's our main source for Zenith Mitts.

we've had in the last month maybe 4 people who got WAR to 75 most of which didn't have jobs that could use E Hands or N Head.

we have a few people who just got PLD to 70+ who want Hrotti even though it isn't that great.

we have a few rich psychos who want abjurations so they can try to get HQ pieces.

and you forgot where our LS had a near overnight turnover of 33% of our core members.

I have played the game for close to 2 1/2 years now. I would like to say, that in those 2 1/2 years, I have --never-- fallen asleep while playing UNTIL I started doing Sea.

Sea drops are pretty good in my opinion, but your luck and time is better spent elsewhere. I'll never forget that time we had to camp Ix whatever for 4 hours and after every kill "ZOMG WHO'S ENVELOPED IN SHEER ANIMOSITY PLEASE TELL ME YOU"RE EVELOPED IN SHEER ANIMOSITY SO WE CAN LEAVE!"

For the few of you who still view sea as a viable place for end-game, good for you; however, begin to accept the fact that SEA IS THE MOST FUCKING BORING PLACE ON THE PLANET AND IT WILL PUT EVEN THE BIGGEST MEN TO SLEEP. I would rather utilize 30minute windows inbetween camping kings to write my paper or play some PS2 rather than stare at the same kinds of mobs for hours upon hours upon hours upon hours upon hours upon hours upon hours only for there to be a good chance that CRAP drops.

-1/2 (cape) on our last trip to Ix'MNK

-3/3 FULL (torque/pop item/sword) on our last 3 JoJustice

Let's focus on something more important than discussing the merits of Sea items, which is the main focus of this thread! Let's bash Aurik's use of SH+1 over Togi when he doesn't have a Togi or d.abj body! Next up, I hear he doesn't have Spharai! What a gimp!
