Quite a few actually, and this number becomes more significant if you include the number of runs were you only get AF that's for a shitty job or just had shitty stats.We might as well have received nothing if our only drop from Xarcabard is MNK head for the 20th time, or RNG, SAM, DRG, DRK, BST etc.

How is that a better example? If you're a main job war you're going to go with Suppanomimi, if you're a main job blm you're going to go with Novio Earring. The example of Ninurta's Sash and Osode means that both items are used for a melee class. A mage isn't going to use a Suppanomimi on his mage job.

Sky provides little in the way of mage gear that isn't obtainiable elsewhere. Sky provides a lot of melee gear that you can't get elsewhere. Sea provides a lot of mage gear that you can't get elsewhere (Aureole, Novio's Earring, Novia's Earring, and all three capes being exceptional imo.) Sea provides little in the way of melee gear that isn't obtainable elsewhere.

I'm sure there are more melees than mages in your shell, so their bitching for +15 DEX and 5% haste will overshadow those who want +7 MAB in an earring or +8 magic accuracy in a throwing item...

two separate times, with a thf there, we cleared windurst.. prolly 90% of the mobs (just not the AH) through to the boss and killed the boss, with a grand total of 0 AF dropped up to then. then again, last week we casually cleared about 70% of the mobs pre boss pop (skipped AH, SMN house, BLM house, and Death house) with only 14-16 ppl last week, and got 6 AF2 and 1 100 piece. Anyway just add money drops to sea lol..

That's mainly because the LS they participate in keeps all the money drops for a "LS Bank". I'd bet they'd bitch a lot less if money drops were split among people who don't get any rare/ex.

Fafnir IS generous, he drops a weskit every day, aegish every other, and balmung/hrotti weekly. And you only pay attention for 5 minutes every hour.

People *do* collect AF, even if it's blah. I watch what drops in my shell, and I don't think we've had a single run in the 8+ months we've been going that we didn't get a single AF that someone had in comment. Meaning at least one person went home with a drop they wanted EVERY RUN. That's a pretty decent record.

No one delegitamized the kill except SE for patching it, giving AV draw in so people couldn't use that exploit to their advantage. Kill it in a way that SE allows, and your kill will be legit.
