Other programs can use it too. The same reason MrArgus can use it is the same reason it may be important for future GUI enhancements or such.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. It's easy to make a program that doesn't rely on the window name. The only reason people need it for Mr. Argus is because the developer doesn't update Mr. Argus anymore. It's totally unnecessary, and without it, Mr. Argus wouldn't be able to be fixed unless someone came up with a completely new version of the program, instead of just updating the offsets.

...oh I've never tried to make stuff for FFXI. I'm just relying on general programming knowledge

I'm told there is a version a particular bot program which may or may not be named after a famous hecteyes that doesn't need the namechanger plugin.

Thats alot of work, alot of files, i already got 15 files in my folder of just SETS, not invidual nukes.

Id basically have to make a Thunder IV.txt, Blizzard IV.txt, Fire IV.txt etc...

Not nessicarily true. You could write it like this...

bind !1 input exec "Black Mage\Red Mage\Solo\Elemental.txt"; input /equip main "Jupiter's Staff"; input /ma "Thundaga III" <t>; input /recast "Thundaga III";

This way you can write the actual binds and such into a single file, then have that file call the various configurations as you need them.

You need to reconfigure your Windower. Double click your Windower folder and it will take you to something like this:

Go into the Config file highlighted above and you'll get this:

Refer to the underlined section to see your resolution options and type them in to the X and Y coordinates then restart windower and you have it.

so um..

i load with windower.. go to play.. and nothing happens. that is, i log in in pol, go to the game shortcut.. click play.. naada. no error, no game, no pink spotted elephants. its as if I didnt do a thing.

windower.ini matches my desktop res, everything should be working aok.. o_O ideas?


edit: restarted pc, set desktop to 1024x768, windower size is still 800x600 (so should be windowed). went into ffxi config, set all to default, then set res to 800x600 and background res to 512x512.

first load after restart gave a hardware tnl.
second gave a windows error.
third and subsequent give nothing.. i see the game window pop for a microsecond, then it dissapears without a trace.

At first I got the error of the window size being wrong, but fixed that up shortly through the ini

Just logged in for the first time we windower, namechanger worked upon entering the game (it loads automatically due to settings) but as soon as I actually got in it stopped. My macros seem to be working fine too.

Having the same problem as Delekii, just crashes when I click Play. Seems like there's a few people on the Windower forums having the same problem, guess I'll have to stick to 3.2 for now. It's weird because every previous version has worked perfectly fine for me, so I don't know what they did to this one to make it incompatible with my system.
