I know of those. They are completely raped on my server by alliances of JP, and probably NAs during the day. I'd much rather perfer a manaburn pt spot rather then a solo one from a high demand mob.

The West island on in Zhayolm looks glorious for a few BLMs. Place is filled with the Wamoura Princes and Penguins, with a few Red Shadow Dragons. Everything is VT. Not sure if the Wamouras aggro (the DC ones in Halvung don't) but the Penguins are passive so there's lots of places along the shore to rest.

Could chain up nicely on Penguins and Crickets and then drop a dragon for big xp numbers. And who knows, maybe the dragons drop meat/heart/bone for money? I know the Wamouras drop those cocoons which are still 400-500k each.

The Princes don't aggro, I ran around that area but didn't consider touching the dragons because I was solo, I didn't check what they aggro to either to, but with sneak and invis up they didn't bother me.

Wamoura Princes have alot of HP, something around 5k I think, I Mijin Gakured one to get home for 1020 damage and it put the prince at 80%.

imps have a magic def bonus.
to add on that, the ones inside halvung con Ep-T and have a pain in the ass double buff of mega flamespikes (50-70 dmg a hit) and barfira so rdm 9/10 has to dispel twice.

oh ya, I forgot to mention Heat Barrier, or whatever, that wamouras have.

though the spikes did 10-50 dmg to me, was nice when I trple attacked one hand, doubled from brutal on the other, and wound up in yellow hp.

With 120 barfire it's 30-40 dmg per hit >.>; They also have the AoE blind + fire dmg move, and enfire.

    Forgot to add.

Besides just being curled up they also have a cocoon move for even more defense.

They definitely suck. First mob that I recall that defeated me straight up in the last few months that was less than EM: I tried backtanking and wait for its massive blaze spikes to wear off but eventually it took me out.

I was thinking a melee burn would be great on the penguins; maybe go brd rdm blm melee x3 and create a big burst on the dragons (just like how mnk PTs deal with ghosts in KRT; banish->light chain->fire+banish burst).

Yeah they like that, mnk, thf and war gave it enough tp to use Yawn like 4 times in one fight

What triggers roach's heat barrier exactly? I had a party up there and it was spamming that thing... and each time it uses it, it gets TWO buffs. Enfire and Blaze Spikes and it is random which one is on top of the other for Dispel. Another time I went up there to solo them with RDM/NIN and it never used Heat Barrier once. I'm guessing it puts it up if there are a certain number of melees attacking it or something...

I'm guessing it uses it randomly as a TP attack just like every other mob in the game? When you're whacking it with 3-4 fast-hitting melee it's going to use TP moves more often.

BTW, didn't know that about penguins. Guess I haven't fought enough of them. They look squishy tho too bad. That island may be manaburn onry then...

Deep inside there are several places stocked with IT/VT trolls; not sure how they would fare for a standard-SC party. Depends on the TP moves of trolls I would assume. The tunnels there have VT puddings too. Not sure how bad puddings are to kill; I soloed a few DC ones and they didn't use any TP move that looked too destructive. The camp is very annoying to get to, though: probably would take an hour or more to get there, moving through EM-VT to 75 aggro the whole time, so you can bet that a random pickup would die horribly repeatedly. If you could get there, though, you could just run wild on trolls and puddings and scorpions, with the occasional moblin billionaire.

Probably would be if they weren't so retardedly melee resistant.

Just got Chain 406 before we decided to eat/sleep/drink/rest our eyes. Around 52k XP, mass amount of IS. Fun stuff. Expansion owns.

Our sanction wore off during the only chain in the party. Yay.

a lot of people know about krt super camps, but about 90% of them will never have the power to use it to its potential

I 100% agree. Im mostly a sky burn type of person and it just makes me want to reach through the screen and punch the kids that think main camp can be brought to its potential by a group of level 72's. Go back to Bibiki Bay or wherever, but GET THE HELL OUT OF MAIN CAMP!

But ya IMP exp is great, along with Puk/Mamook.

Puk and Mamook are pretty nice. me and 2 of my friends were trioing them for chains around 200-250 without rings.

oh and about trolls... NIN tank watch for the RNG trolls. that cannon ain't just for show >_> 150+ dmg thru shadows, tho Bar-Fira might lower it a bit. think Firespit but a little less dmg and not TP based.

plenty of vt-it Imps, Lamia, and Qutrub in Arrapago Reef near the staging point. have fun getting there tho... i was home free til an imp thought it would be funny to aggro me and drop my sneak and invis with drain... damn true sight bastards.
