So yeah, a bunch of tards and some members of our lovely JP Ballista champs (lovehamm) went out and killed all the NM's before they got to the gates.

This beseiged failed, I am still interested though...especially if they do get stronger every raid.

to follow on what i said earlier about successive victories, if you talk to a gate guard, chose I want to ask some questions, choose besieged, and then current status, he will give you a bunch of statistics such as the current defense rating, number of successive (in a row) victories, number of total victories, number of times astral cansendence is taken, etc.

Undead lasted 5 minutes -_- seemed fun but needs to last a bit longer which im sure will as the numbers rise , Didnt seem any more laggy than dynamis either

ok so undead swarm will attack Al Zhabi still and not Nashmau? Just wondering because I had been wondering about this. Do they enter from both gates?

they won't attack Nashmau, they are not attacking towns for the sake of attacking towns, they are here to try and steal the AC.

Well, I know I'm just echoing about 8-12 people on this, but whatever. =P

Is anyone here familiar with Asheron's Call? One of the earlier MMORPG's and had a comprably small player base.

They had world events monthly where the +Admins ([GM]s by FF terms) would take the role of a storyline character and would either hold a storyline meeting or a battle. There would be about 1000-1500 people on the server, and at least 25% of them would show up for this because it was something different.

The point? Besieged is still new. I'm not going to lie and say ToAU is the best thing I've ever seen, I think there are some serious flaws in the rollout, but this isn't the place to get into that. The point is that for the first set of besieged events people aren't going to wait, they're going to zerg anything they see because it's new and 'fun'. Why are you all going to them? Because you wanna try it!

Now think about one week down the road. Besieged events going off every 8-10 hours, are you going to try to make all of them? Some of you will, many may not. What was 300 vs. 20 may become 150 vs. 30, then 100 vs. 40, etc. Trying to argue the merits of an expansion which will be built on over the better course of a year within the first week? You may be right in the end, but wait it out.

Oh, by the way, Undead preparing to attack on Phoenix. Halvung attacked during JP primetime and evidently lasted about as long as Phoenix RMT vs. Tiamat
