You're right, but i KNOW for 100% fact that I have been drawn in standing in that spot, and I've witnessed others get drawn in too. He can only walk so far.Originally Posted by NynJa

Edit: kinda curious, what spot was nynja talking about? everyone on fairy basically fights it in the same place. wondering where the other position is.
Alot of games have z axis or some other kind of thing to prevent ae's. Are you absolutely sure they dont want z axis working? In everquest you could avoid AoE's via walls, or certain ae's went through walls so you had to use z axis etc. Yeah different game, but it was all part of the strategy. If it weren't wanted, there are so many ways to prevent it.

fr8's his common nickname on fairy ;(
anyway like every server except your backwards one fights it more in the middle of his spawn area, mages like on top of the hill and it down the bottom. or something.
Sounds like how its fought on my "backwards" server. Tiamat doesnt draw in though...Originally Posted by aers
the server i was calling backwards was fairy. tiamat draws in all the time on fairy.
bad day for me![]()
Tiamat definately draws in...every mob draws in that has a SET spawn and battle Arena. If you fight her so tanks are within that arena but mages aren't they will normally be drawn in when they get hate. Depends on where you fight her.Originally Posted by NynJa
err, I meant Tiamat doesnt draw in if a mage on the elevated section of the spawn area pulls hate.
If you fought in the middle wouldn't there be more aggro? I dunno if having tiamat capable of drawing you in is good, or bad. I'd rather it draw me in, so I can run to the front instead of him coming after me. >.>
For the 30 or 40 times we've done it, its always been here...mages get hit by wing and shit, but its never a big deal. No point on trying something different if this has never failed us.
I think dealing with three corses, and the occasional elemental is getting the bigger slice of the pie compared to mages getting raped by AOE.
Tyche; you can fight Tiamat there, have mages out of range and be able to cast on Tiamat at the same time D:
his general area is pretty nice, I don't think you can go wrong unless you're retarded or something. >.> But yeah, whatever works. I just never knew about him not drawing in from the mid.
Yeah, get behind the rock. Doesnt always work tho, when he flies he moves around a lot.
