all this stuff said, why would they make an avatar and then put out an NM that looks exactly like the avatar but isnt an avatar? None of the other avatars have a mob/NM that uses that model and isnt at least a representation of the avatar.

Not everything they put in the game has to have occurred previously. For now, quest-wise we will probably know him as "Dark Rider" and later in another quest they may reveal his true identity.

Ixion was more of a unicorn, didnt he have a long curved horn on his head? Or was that part of the guys weapon. Been so long i cant remember. Anyway, a horse with extra legs and a horse with a horn on its head still isn't an actual horse.

edit: not only did he have a horn, it was big as hell.

another ninja edit: If you guys are trying to compare SE and mythology, dont - The picture i posted of ixxion is a perfect example of this because ixion was a man, that gave birth to the centuars. Not a horse.

After doing the first available assaults in all the 5 staging points and completing all ToAU missions up to a Mercenary's Life, you get a quest from Naja Salaheem for promotion to private first class. After beating that quest she asks you to investiage a mysterious Dark Rider in the forests outside Aht Urghan. I'm guessing the mob is quest related given the info. I'll probably finish up the quest but forget to reply back on results

Fuckapp is the cracked version of FFxiapp. fishing is a fishbot and tell detection shuts everything down when a [GM]* sends you a tell. Don't ask how i know :D

Afaik there has never been any kind of official statement, info found in the dats, etc., that states the Dark Rider is Odin. It's just the players filling in the info themselves.

It may BLATANTLY be Odin, but there is nothing official stating so.

No, the skin files (which is what was shown) have names in them. The skin has the name odin.
