Static MAB bonus doesn't stack with AF2 gloves (both are 5% damage, so better than 5MAB).
Magnetic ftw.

Which is why i wish i got MB Earring now, cause i have novioOriginally Posted by nivlakian

Static MAB is the exact MAB bonus as AF2 gloves.
I think he meant to say "not cumulative". MAB items add to your already existing trait (and other gear) whereas the bonus from the earring/gloves is a straight percentage increase like elemental staves.Originally Posted by Charitwo

Isn't that better than straight novio-style MAB?
It's from the Ghost in Shell TV Show, the Laughing Man :D
Its from Ghost in the Shell. I've only seen one or two episodes of it, but that was one of them lolOriginally Posted by Charitwo

Yeah, percentage gear is better than MAB.Originally Posted by aurik
As an example, let's say your MAB prior to equipping moldavite was 1.4, then Moldavite would make it 1.45. 1.45/1.4 is ~3.6% increase in damage.
Magnetic is junk compared to the other earrings
+5 conserve MP is a joke. You can't relay on random traits but Static's MB bonus is consistant (so long as you can hit a MB)
-8% interupt rate, yeah I can tell you how effective this is vs anything above Tough. but hey Static has +2Magic Def. Bonus, that will always cut down any magic damage you take.
+1heal MP, > Relaxing earring, boroka's earring, warlock's(/rdm)
MP+20 yeah cause blm is really hurting for MP...
to me Magnetic earring is the Beastly earring of Apocylse nigh (but hey! at least it's not Hollow/Knightly earring)
Etheral is the suppanomimi
and
Static is the Abyssal
That's my opinion on this: and I picked Magnetic and I regret it to tis day, sense one week after I picked it
Tough call.Since this is a totally irreversible decision, though, I'd probably go with the overall best/most unique earring, and IMO that's Ethereal. Even if you aren't a PLD it's a pretty hot earring for DDs who don't dual wield (or who do but didn't pick suppa lol).
Ear is a pretty overpopulated slot... we got Suppa/Brutal/Moldy/Apoc Nigh/etc.... Make more good ammo/neck/belt items or a wider variety of rings, SE.
I do 1600-1900 MB in errant on fafnir, If I use weskit I can break 2k or even more. I am satisfied with my damage, I dont need to do more so I can die faster, i'll take the conserve MP earring anyday.
I honestly wish the BLMs I know thought like that.Originally Posted by Lordwafik
Hmm, this has got me thinking... since Relic gloves and earring do not stack...
Which is better? Earring+Zenith or Moldav+Relic? I guess Relic would be for the -2 Enimity on MBs could be important. Then again, you won't lose MP possibily if you don't switch Zenith. Uh whatever, probably go with Earring, because I hate Dynamis(I don't have gloves). I need to do this quest anyway.
EDIT: Also, what exactly does Relic pants do? I know Obi unlocks full weather potential(without really gaining any bonuses), does Relic do the same thing or add a bonus?
You know you liked seeing Marquis Cimeries EES me after hitting a random MB with my static equipped (because I don't macro it out yet lol).Originally Posted by Maxxthepenguin

Edit in response to the poster above me:
They add 5MAB or 5% Damage, I forget which (they're different!!!). All I know is Thundersday/Iceday = the mahatma slops come off for the appropriate spell.
Static and Relic do stack. Relic gloves > zenith +1 by a small margin.
aww cmon it's only a 300 xp loss
I've seen EES miss me there before lol. Pre-RNG nerf too.
The BLM relic pants are 5% (not 5MAB)
I think the Obis are +5% as well.. and its 10% for both day and weather? Not sure, I dont have sea access yet ; ;
No, the obis are 10% for each day/weather icon in effect.
Edit: And apparently I misread that other post about gloves and earring. They seem to stack to me. I've never heard they don't.
