So max of 30% per obi?


Im confused a bit now too. I have AF2 hands, no pants yet.

Now, for MB I use AF2 because its supposedly +8 while zenith is +5, as well as staff and moldy. Id use Af2 pants + obi if I had them.

So.. this all stacks right? Both AF2s, Moldy, Staff and Obis? If I add the Static earring when/if I get it, will it stack as well? Or is there something in there that has no effect while there is another in the equip. IE. Static and AF2 hands.

Never gave it much thought as I thought it all added to the dmg.

So AF2 +8, Moldy is +5, Staffs are +10/15%, Obis are +10~30%, Static is +5? Pants.. I forget, +5%?

Im sure something is wrong, I never paid much attention to the numbers, I just always figured the more MAB the better >.>

I've had the AF2 pants for well over a year, and anytime I use them on the appropriate day, resists go through the roof, I resist on everything. I currently use them to match with my dalmatica while im floating around in jeuno/al zahbi

Obis don't give anything, they just make you use the full bonus of the day/weather. So the bonus was always there, but this takes the chance out of it. On the other hand, Relic pants might just give +5% based on the day. That is my question.

Yeah, what BRP said... the obis just remove the chance occurrence when of the day of the week / weather bonus. It makes them gauranteed.

AF2 Hands = +5% dmg on MB
Static Earring = +5% dmg on MB
Obi = +10% per weather/day icon (max: 30%)
AF2 Pants = +5% dmg for casting a spell matching the day of the week

All of those effects can stack (although now ppl are debating the earring + gloves thing)

Either i'm really unlucky then (as in getting a resist almost every single time equipped), or my pants are just bugged. I tested them on exp mobs, I'd get the occasional big damage with them, but most of the time when I put those on, whomp whomp, resist. Then tried on fafnir who hardly resists crap, then I got resists on my MB's when i had obi + the pants + double weather + day.

I've had static earring and AF2 gloves for quite a while, I've never noticed them not stacking.

I find however, that the obis make the af2 pants obsolete, i haven't ever seen the effects of pants + obi stack.

They definately stack, here's a test I did long ago

For the following tests, I kept my INT at 79+28 (Taru BLM/RDM w/ Aquillo's Staff)

I have to agree w/ koga. Mahatma slops definitely look better in that situation. I'm a huge "for looks" whore.

Agreed. I have always used both Obis and pants and they definitely stack. I have mispelled Sorcerer's in my macro before and noticed that my Thunder 4s weren't breaking 1300 like they normally do. Fixed macro so AF2 pants came in also, breaking 1300 again. Done it a million times.

I wouldn't say mine go through the roof, but I definitely see a slight increase in resists. Enough to say INT does have an effect on resist rate anyway. Thats with 8/8 Elemental skill merits btw. Maybe you have your merits in enfeeble?

go with the magic attack earring, i enjoy blm the most when i put up the biggest numbers and have hate.

af2 hands and the earring stack 100%, ill see if i can run a few tests on it if i have time but im pretty sure they do. for my bursts i macro in af2 hands and static and burst in novio/static intead of novio and moldavite. af2 gloves and that earring both add 7% so that is obviously better then the moldavite.

with the obi's, isn't it 20% max? 10% for the day and 5% per weather effect? and in accordance to the day i will put on the correct obi and the af2 pants.

For starters not 1 thing matches in color. The black and green could go together.. but its just not working.. Farming Wamoura Cocoons atm (<3 Solo 280+ exp on BLM)

For starters not 1 thing matches in color.

Lol I didn't hear what you just said. The Lordwafik I know would never cast enfeebling magic with a dalmatica on.
