PFC Assault Missions

Tried Requiem tonight with just three people to see what it was all about, but couldn't really figure it out. Ended up killing 2 Toads, 4 Bhoot ghosts (1 of which opened with blizzaga4, but was easy to silence), and about 8 skeletons.

There were still some skeles left when we ran out of time, and about half of the map was inaccessible due to some gates. We tried pulling a couple skeles over to the doors in the last few minutes (ala the first mamool ja mission), but they didnt seem to do anything that hit the door.

Anyone else tried this one yet? Any thoughts? We spent a decent amount of time just running about trying to figure out what we were supposed to do as we were kinda wary of pulling the DRG mobs with just 3 of us and no sleeper (did so at the end, and it was no big deal).

this one isnt hard at all, the doors have nothing to do with it, just kill the monsters in all of the side rooms and the ones in the tunnels. Wide-scan helps a lot

what'd you try ryko? we're going to try it again, last time we tried trading 1-2 food to each npc :/ (we found 12 total)

did you ever get them to shut up about being hungry?

The idea is that you basically have to feed each NPC 2-3 times. I think it might be 2, on the third they sound reluctant to take it (They say they were about to eat their boots before theyre full, they say "eh I guess more couldnt hurt" or something like that when theyre fulll). 4 sections, 3 NPCs in 3, 2 in the last. The crawlers take forever to kill, you're almost better suited going /NIN and training the things. The way to differentiate which NPC is fed in a section is by the shields (light buckler, spiked buckler, gold buckler). Shit's annoying, tedious, and we ran out of time with 1 NPC left to fill up after we realized what to do and how to do it. Movement speed + is a big help on this.

Nice. Good info, Ryko. What does each type of shield on the NPCs mean?

Also, don't forget to bring Powder Boots!

It's just so you can differentiate which imperial soldier in the section is which. Maybe it's because I have everyone turned into a hume female atm (<_<) but everyone looked the same to me (they might all be the same race anyway) so I had to differentiate who was full from who was hungry by which shield they wore.

I was able to sleep the crawlers in Lebros supplies as drk/nin with pluto staff, so they're pretty easy to sleep. We're about to try it again, going rdm/nin this time and training the crawlers back and forth while we stuff these stupid npcs. If we win this my whole group will be 5/5 on the 2nd tier assaults, might get a new quest and rank up tonight if we're lucky.
