new moon end of windsday still up now at 6:00~ iceday
Hello, this is my first time posting on these forums but I have some info of use. We finished the lebros cavern 2 assault with about 3 minutes left by splitting up our group into 3 pairs of 2, all sleepers/nin rdm/nin preferable with flee boots. Have group 1 take care of the 3 west npcs, group 2 the 3 east npcs, and group 3 (the fastest group) the south and north npcs. By doing this you minimize the number of adds to manage for each group so you end up having 2 sleepers for 2-4 erucas. It is also easier to coordinate what npc is fed/not fed by shield with only 2 people then with 6.
Another note: Found the Warhorse Footprint in the middle west side of E-6 in mount zhaylom last night Firesday 3:00~22:00.
We did Lebros supplies and ran out of time with one NPC left to feed. It does seem that it's indeed /bow motion that's the true sign that they don't need more food, unless they do /bow completely random. It would be great if someone could confirm this.
We tried the Lebros supplies last wednesday and didn't make it in time, but once when i talked to one of the NPCs after trading it said something about, "provisions!". Anyhow I was speculating that talking to them after trading will give you a message that may change depending on whether they're full or not, and this is what I found in POLUtils:
The first two messages everyone knows. The 3rd is the one I got from talking to one after trading him food. The 4th is the one I now assume will indicate that he is full, if you talk to him without any food. We're trying again on Sunday, but I figured I'd post this now in case it would help anyone's attempts.DialogTableEntry 00329 Thank Zahak you're here.
I was about to start eating my boots!?Marker: 7F3100?
DialogTableEntry 00330 You brought more supplies?
Well, you can never have too much...?Marker: 7F3100?
DialogTableEntry 00331 The provisions...
Have you brought the provisions??Marker: 7F3100?
DialogTableEntry 00332 There's nothing like a full belly to put the power back in your sword swing.
I pity the next monster that crosses my path!?Marker: 7F3100?
EDIT: (The premise here being that getting the "you can never have too much" message indicates you've fed them one time too many.)
Anyone tried taking a THF and aggroing the mobs and training them away with flee while other ppl trade food? Would need to be a sac pull obviously, but I'm curious if the mobs will depop after being trained, or if they will walk back to their normal positions.
Reading would be good.Originally Posted by divisortheory
From what I found it seems... Dark Rider apepars at random, moves 1 location to another -> foot print -> reappear near it -> foot print repeat at random O_o
The Warhorse Footprint has been in the same spot on Bismarck for the past 3 or 4 days. It's in the northern area of Caedarva Mire, in that valley where the 2 Heraldic Imps pop.
When Darkhelmet and I were doing this Assault we kept wondering if food played any role in getting the npcs to be full. We thought that the npcs seemed to be full after giving them the steak and jerky can't remember if it was bison or whatever. This could have been just a coincidence though. Anyway this Assault sucks balls, goodluck.
I did Lebros Supplies and failed after feeding just 8 (among other things that went wrong, rdm died right away and stayed dead, didn't want to take a R1...)
I do think there's different food types for a reason, and if you could guess which foods add up to full without having to trade again etc, you'd save yourself many extra trips.
For example if each food had a point value, like bison steak=8, coeurl sub=6, bison jerky=4, white bread=2, pea soup=1 (these values I totally made up and are probably very wrong, but the foods are the ones you do get), and then say anything above 8 will make a NPC full, each person could announce what food they got, then whatever adds to the smallest number up above 8 you could send to make 1 NPC full, like 8+1, 6+4, 4+4+2 etc...
I think that is more likely what SE intended this assault to be once ppl figured it out, needs more coordination and kinda makes sense otherwise having different foods being totally irrelevant would seem a bit weird.
This also explains why sometimes you need to feed some NPCs many times.
Now someone plz figure it out by actually doing it again and keeping track of the foods traded to each NPC (keep track of them by shield) before they bow or whatever.
When i did it and failed it was chaos, and ppl didn't know a NPC was full until it was overfed, and all other 4-5 ppl might have been on the way to still try to feed the same NPC and waste even more time that way.
I think with a way to predict exactly what will make them full, flee might not be needed except for training ones in the way.
a map showing locations of NPCs would be helpful
BTW, can you use this food like you use mines in the first lebros assault? Like as in be engaged to a crawler and use the food. Maybe they are just hungry. Sounds stupid but if you agro one anyways, no harm in trying.
yeah I mean he's doing some soorta route between the foot prints all over the place. You just need to catch him while he's up and follow the path around.Originally Posted by Darkhelmet
Should really try out what Suiram posted...if it works, it'll eliminate the "extra" feeding you need on npcs to check to see if they are full, which should make this a lot easier.
We're going tomorrow, so we'll see if it works.
I'm doing Lebros Supply tonight, I'll mention the bowing thing and the after-trade chat to my group before we head in and I'll let you know what happens.
How do you beat the bloody Feed the NPCs one?
4 people
three with flee and one with crimson and we couldnt even get half of htem feed in 30 min, help please <.>;
Also: they agro through sneak and invisible spells so ...
what we learned
Shields are only way to track these npcs so have someone with a pen or pencil.
You gonna need 6 here, anything less you wont make it
You gonna need flee here, but dont worrya bout anything like sneak or invisible cause it does not work
I suggest you read through this threadOriginally Posted by Zaco
Just got PS last night. I assume that the Halvung Troll PS Assault is the best one to do first? (easy?)
BTW I noticed looking that the Sanctum PS assault is another fucking escort assault... I hope the NPC isnt as stupid as the one in PSC assault...

They all seem pretty easy, though 2 of them atm seem pretty gimmicky.
