the only time i think i wouldn't use the turban is when exping on IT mobs...which is like...never. Anything VT and lower with h2h merits and +35ish ACC or so, i dont see why you shouldhave any trouble. 541/1000 coins ....did like 100k in merits yesterday :D

Thats what you all sound like. What you need is a good combination of both, get your hitrate up above 90% then start piling on haste(if you want) and attack. Macro in STR or whatever mods are on your WS when you need it and voila. Play around with it, parse yourself, whatever. Just don't argue about it since it is so played out already.

Remember: Shampoo (acc) first. Then conditioner (haste/atk).

So many people with such a gigantic opinion of themselves that there is no way a different gear/food setup could POSSIBLY be effective.

In the vast majority of exp situations its ridiculous to even think of arguing about this crap when you consider how easy to hit accuracy% and weapon damage hard caps when a BRD is present.

I like my gear setup, never been beaten on various parsers (which I don't run myself, PS2/now 360) in any party where one was running. I don't feel a need to project my amazingness on others by declaring it as the ONLY working gear setup. If your gear works for you, awesome, go out there and kill shit. If you can don't lose the 100+ chain in Bhaf when a DD dcs for 5mins, or just KRT with a 5 person PT (2 MNKs) and chain just as easily, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you're doing "good enough".

This hat isn't going to turn horrible players into awesome ones, and its not all purpose, but its still pretty damn good considering how easy it is to obtain. We're talking about a 20000 IS item. What's 20000 CP, I think TM hooks are 16k and army mantles are 24k? If anything IS is a lot easier to get than CP too, thanks to sanction effects and the various non exp ways to get it. My only real gripe with it is that it does look pretty dumb but oh well, not like O.hat, Genbu's, Shura, Panzer and Homam (for thf) don't look dumb too, only thing that looks any good (on Elv M) is Melee Crown unless you hate your own hairstyle.

Even though the set up would be insane for DoT....it would be the worst combination of gear ever on a player. It will cause the kiddies to go blind more than an elvaan male in full PUP af >.>

Let's use some simple math.

acc = percentage hit rate w/o O-hat
acc_o = percentage hit rate w/ O-hat

diff = (acc_o - acc)

if acc/100 * 5 > diff use turban
else use O-hat

Not exactly rocket surgery.

Now if you want to figure out what gear is best based upon the mob you are fighting, go do some linear programing.


From my own stand point, even without much in acc gear I hit for 85% - 90% acc. back when I tp burned a few merits. 10 more acc was around 2% acc so I'll use a turban.

Anyone who doubts the power of haste has never run a parser in their lives.

I use meat everywhere, including ullikumi, because I have fucking capped hand-to-hand merits and don't need accuracy gear, period. I wear my togi mainly for the atk, and until today I used my shura kabuto (+1) for melee (using optical hat over it is just plain stupid). Adding the haste from turban took me from solid second place to keeping on par with a ridill+adaman hauberk+merits warrior on the parser in a burn party, with ninja sub. Argue with that.

Considering your gear, your merits, and (my) personal experience, you're full of shit or your warrior was dead at the keyboard. How's that?

They hold the hate, they have to recast shadows more. A Mnks only job is to engage and afk, a War has to act as the tank in the party.

Its simple math. If a WAR and a MNK are close on a parser, the WAR won. The time lost due to having to actually tank instead of afk engaging = more dmg.

The new turban owns.
