    I don't have a hard time in Bhaflau Thickets, and I'm an avid meater MNK, then again, MNKs do have A+ skill and with merits can get 292 H2H skill, and I use ACC gear during Berserk and maybe some STR during Focus. I had a hit rate of like 82%, and that was only cause flashga rapes your parser acc %, even the IT beastmen and Juriks aren't that hard to hit...

    That's what I expected, every other item in the game that requires you to satisfy some condition to get the stats has some sort of conditional clause written on it ("Latent effect:", "In areas outside own nation's control:", etc). Would have been really strange to have an item with what would have basically been a latent effect, and then not give any sort of hint that it's not always active.

    (Though I have to admit, deep down, I was kind of hoping to get to laugh at all the gilbuyers that dropped 20M on imperial currency to be one of the first people with the Turban)

    (P.S. I'm not implying that everyone with a Turban already is a gilbuyer, there's just already several known RMTers on Sylph with them)

    I just think you guys have too high a standard for hit rate. You think dipping below 95% is a travesty; I'm pretty happing putting up 85+%, along with a constant 600~ attack rating. And yes, I pretty much run over everything and anything I fight.

    For reference, here's the kind of acc gear I roll with:
    Op hat (for now!) == 10
    Harness +1 == +12
    PCC (this is new; I was doing fine with spike necklace before) == 10
    Sniper +1 x2 == 14
    Melee Hose; I bring Shura Haidate as an alternate == 0 / 7
    Tiphia Sting == 2

    I also generally eat hedgehogs; levelled my own cooking mule primarily to make my own pies, so another 5%.

    So that's 53 or 60 acc, depending if I wear my Shura. And then 292 H2H skill, which is a huuuuuge improvement over 267 sword skill for rid-joy-suppa wars.

    Actually, to get bonus movement from aketons in whatever corresponding nation, you have to be a citizen of that nation. The aketon description says nothing about needing to be a citizen of that nation to get the + movement.

    So there are items that require a player to meet certain requirements(LOL redundant) to get the full effects of said item.

    My Swords 278, but still meh. Also you're wearing next to no Haste gear (yeah, yeah you have Black Belt.). I guess everything is different for WAR. I wear 22%+ Haste on WAR, and its REALLY necessary to have all of that haste. Not only does having that haste help me NEVER cast Utsusemi:Ichi (which in turn helps my damage output) it helps lower my recast timers to stay alive. I've never met a melee who outDDed me, except my fellow LS member, who has the exact identical gear to me. (Missing an HQ piece or 2) All of this means that I'm tanking 75% of the time in a fight, and the less I cast Utsusemi:Ichi the higher my damage output. About the only thing I see me changing in my gear is getting a PCA (Im not spending 20M on a PCC) or that new Store TP neck, or hitting up a Sniper Ring +1.

    Lifes not so simple for a WAR/NIN. =/

    Hedgehog Pie is 5%? I thought it was just a static 5.

    And sword skill for merited rid/joy/suppa war is 271, which is 21 ACC under h2h. Then there's having a +25 ACC bonus ~70% of the time with merited aggressor, compared to MNKs +20? acc bonus 40% of the time (As I've never seen a MNK merit focus).

    I'm pretty sure a Guttler + Temperance Axe + Pet + Brutal would give a decked out ridill/joy war a good run for the money :/

    +25 acc on focus, since any monk worth a damn will be macro'ing in temple crown when he activates it.

    My recast timers are pretty sexy with black belt + march :-/ I go as mnk/nin very often, mostly for the sake of the mage's sanity. I get ni every 32? seconds; if I need to put up shadows more often than that (especially as mnk/nin) then there's something wrong with the other melees.

    Counterstance owns though :D

    I think you have to also consider monks get built in haste over war.

    Mnks get Martial arts (up to 4?, no clue) which speed their attack, which makes them not so dependant on haste gear, aswell as kick attacks, which is one more potential attack round aswell as double attack from war sub, aswell as counter attacks, which is yet another free attack to add to their total damage.

    Sorry, pies are +5, not +5%, typo.

    And focus is +30 if you macro crown.

    MNK gets built in delay reduction because the natural HTH delay is pretty horrendous, take out martial arts and MNK DoT would be pathetic.

    I'll switch between meat (hedgehog or coeurl) and sushi pretty freely, as MNK with capped merits and Faith torque (and BRD) its ridiculously easy to reach acc and damage caps on anything that isn't deep into IT, unless its a THF or PLD. If you're hitting for cap (Caestus crit cap 204, 229 bones) with 90%+ hit rate, there's not much to improve beside attack speed.

    Just because you hit the crit cap doesn't mean you've hit the attack cap. Far from it, actually.

    When you hit your xp mobs for the same range and average (regular or crit) as you hit lv0 Wild Rabbits, I would say that qualifies as "hitting the attack cap". Not much point going for 800 attack when a lower number does the job.

    Well, you do need 800+ attack to hit the attack cap.
    Maybe you've reached the point of diminishing returns beyond 600~ish, but you certainly aren't capped.

    Agreed. Some people think that hitting above 100 is all that needs to be done. Far from it. Hitting for on average 110-120 instead of 90-100 is 10-20% more damage, and definately worth increasing your attack for.

    Since everyone keep spreading rumours about if the turban only works with sanction or not a friend of mine tested this see if it was true.

    First test was in Jeuno WITH Sanction on and no haste gear except the turban 42s on Tonko: Ni, then after that he took off the turban and recast timer was 45s.

    So that proves it works with Sanction in all areas, but in his 2nd test he did the same but instead of Sanction he used signet and got the exact same result, so unless he lies turban works in all areas without sanction if anyone was getting worried it only works with sanction
