Random Deal - Bugged?

I've kept Ranger sub the whole way so far and spam bullets for damage as fast as I can. The only job I've been outdamaged consistently by so far has been the pimp Monk in my set. I've beat a tanking Warrior, a Ninja and two Blue Mage's. I know it's hardly a glowing reference and I doubt I'll keep this up much longer as the melee jobs get more potent but it's still damn nice to see myself sitting so high up on the parse even if it does cost me a fortune. I'm looking forward to getting Slug Shot (especially as I'm adamant we'll be leveling on Lesser Colibri's at that level) but I fear that even without Barrage and Quick Draw that I'm going to be forced to sub Ninja eventually unless I calm down the damage out put (no).

I'm trying to get a gun Belt too but they've gone 300k>500k>1mil x3 since the advent of Corsair. I don't mind paying that but, as I said, I have reservations about the continuation of Ranger sub in the future. Luckily, I've had a Beater's Mantle for ages and my friend had the Earring so those two Ranger sub items have been a discount God-send.
