We got messed up in azouph today. Tomorrow we're going to just have people train stuff around the map while the idiot gets to his destination.

I wonder why SE cant make the NPCs like the quasillumins in sea.
Which areas have you decided to do for assault pt farming ??
I've looked around at a few sites to see which areas give the best pts, cept every site I've checked (wiki, mystery tour, elemen) all list different base point numbers -.-
does going with unrecommended lvl nerf it or something ?
Based on the npc text explaining missions, I don't think so, but maybe I'm misinterpretting it.Originally Posted by NynJa

The only thing I've seen is that going with a smaller party (3) nets more points than a full party (6).
well also keep in mind that almost no one has been reported to do a capped run. If someone has, can you tell us how the points varied from uncapped?
They don't.
I get 1000 Assault Points doing Golden Savage with 3 people w/ a lv60 (suggested) cap. Don't really feel like trying other caps to see if I get less/more AP though. <_<
Got 1500 for winning first-time with 3 people, uncapped, which is 1000 before the "virgin" bonus. So it looks like cap doesn't affect total points earned.Originally Posted by Julian
You never lose points for doing it uncapped. You only lose points if you do it below the recommended lvl.Originally Posted by aurik
Ok, that stupid escort one is so horribly gay. We tried once two days ago and just had no idea what to do so we lost when he decided to take a rest and got a bunch of aggro from stuff after a couple of us died.
Second run we tried having people train the map while a bard and a blm (for stun/healing) kept the npc company. Lost because trainers kept dying, and because stuff loses aggro after a while.
Third run (successful) we had 2 bards, 2 blms, a whm, and a pld. BLMs can sleep bhoots, bards can sleep everything, pld and whm to try to keep hate/keep us alive. Pretty much we just slept everything as we followed the npc until he got to the end and warped. We were all dead but reraise/run for the rune of release won it for us. We got lucky, Dhalmel Mantle +1
This one is way worse than lebros lv2
We did pretty fine just killing anything that aggroed but yeah I ate the floor pretty early, and twice during the whole thing.
Just did Mamool (4/5 on SP)
We had like 15 adds near the end because it is mega hard to sleep the mamools and we died. got up weakend and finished sage off.
I went on BRD to the tier 3 Leujaoam Sanctum and it seemed a whole lot easier than the food delivery mission. You can easily keep 4-5 mobs slept (while keeping your distance and following the NPC) since they don't resist much at all. Just have your melee pick off the links one by one.
We opted to not fight anything since the npc never stops long enough to kill a mob, or at least, we never bothered to figure out how to stop him. Bones started completely resisting lullaby near the end too. Oh well, never have to do it again so it doesn't matter heh.
Just beat the escort one. We just slept everything and ran lol
At the end he left we died, RR'd, and sneak'd up to the exit.
5/5 SP assaults. Now I get to sit on 4 tags for a while.![]()
I was going through my old screenshots, and I found this.
From Saving Ryaaf's Privates mission, take a look at the second line of text and tell me if that makes sense.
Passing it on.Originally Posted by GMB
BTW I should mention something I tried for farming purposes yesterday. We did mimic with 3 people. We dc'd one to see if the remaining 2 get more points. They don't. Still got 1000 for 2 people.
But funny thing is, we log back in the other character after we have exited the assault and just like dynamis, you appear there for a second, but then get kicked out. Oh, and he got 1000 when he got kicked out.
So I wonder if you can join a pickup party, dc cause you really don't feel like doing it, and let them win for you and log back in later (if its an easy one)
At least that solves people d/cing at a bad time, and missing the win, therefore making their static redo the mission for them.
