My BST/WHM that has no attack bonus traits from neither main nor sub, has 379 attack without food . If a bst/whm has near the same amount of attack as you, then you're doing something wrong.

And if I have more attack than your warriors, get them the fuck out of halvung and onto deco weapons that have low defence.

Ridill/Joy warriors fail on trolls, need Axe/Ridill or Axe/Joy warriors, need rampage, vorpal just doesnt cut it.

NIN doesn't necessarily fail at trolls. I do just fine on them if I go with a Haste setup and actually use meat on them (which I did before, with less Katana merits... whiffed a bit more than I'd like, but I'm sure I'd be fine now). With Sis Kebabi and these other buffs, NIN can get pretty decent attack in just a haste setup:

My standard exp pt (pretty much the exact same people every time) is 2x WAR, NIN, 2x BRD, and RDM, so we always have both Minuets and Marches. Low base attack means nothing. >

not reading the rest of the thread yet, but iam pretty sure a brd/cor and a cor/brd can only have 2 songs/rolls at the same time, so 1 song 1 roll for example, or not?

8 Sword merits. Taru with no STR merits as of yet, add 10 or w/e if you're an Elvaan. Doesn't change the fact that resting state WAR with 2 swords has shitty attack.

Could argue Berserk, but NIN has that too. They just can't merit it.

Well resting state to be sure, but I would really assume a complete ridill/joy haste build to have 5zer5agg merits. Generally those who use this setup spend more time with zerk up than they do with it down, putting their average attack much higher than 400. Also I believe zerk provides only a portion of the benefit when subbed, yes?

Regardless, war's attack stats and abilities trump nin's. I'm not saying nin's aren't DD mind you, I'm saying war's generally have higher attk.

I'd argue that's enhanced functionality...what I mean is that a 74 war's berserk is the same benefit as a 75randommelee/war's berserk (ditto with Double Attack)

I believe the point was ridill/joyeuse haste build wars also are suboptimal for trolls. You want to mainhand axe and use some decent attack food/gear to get sufficiently high attack on trolls.
