ahh. Speaking of Talacc Cove though, FFxi-atlas.com now shows it as being accessible through an Iron Gate that's opened with a fang key. Can you confirm this? I'm almost positive I tried picking that lock once with a Skeleton Key and it didn't work. I know when I entered Talacca Cove from the wrong direction I saw some Jnuns up there in the inaccessible area. I wonder if you could burn inside Talacca Cove, on those undead.Originally Posted by Tymon
Also, has anyone figure out how to get past the other one way walls in Arrapago? There's a few areas that look like long penninsulas on the map that end in little circular areas but you can't get up there because of one way drops. Anyone figure out how to get there? One area in particular is past the Nix Songstresses.

I think crabs have more hp too. Wamoura go down in like 3-4 nukes. Once you get them out of their elongated form,(magic def. form) they have zero magic def.
With nin sub, or with /war "I pull hate and die now" sub?Originally Posted by Lordwafik
my friend was rng/nin. He still did some measly sidewinders, but alot of the time when he WS'd, the troll was chasing him around over the 2 ridill wars.Originally Posted by Xavier
RNG who are true RNG never got nerfed.
3 melee, healer, 2 BRD is much more powerful and can actually infinite chain on the IT mamools near Jade spec zone. ^^Originally Posted by Janice

forgot to screenshot it though
It made my day seeing Nippers on the opening day of the expansion. Just when you thought the Snipper/Clipper family was complete, they add the Nipper.Originally Posted by Tymon

what he said. Today it was 2x war 1x rng 1x me(rdm/BLM because i forgot to change it) 2x brd/nin and we were going fineeeeeee. The only time my MP dipped was when the wars started thinking they were paladins and didnt use utsesimi. Even then, my MP never dipped below 400.
even if job-specific pts are kinda fun...must say:Originally Posted by Janice

Normal parties slow the exp down for everyone there, because they are just breaking down the pace for people around them. At the pace everyone else is going, it's almost as if the normal parties are holding mobs.
The new zones aren't there as a charity/volunteer race, where everyone can go at their own pace and feel proud, it's a fast paced marathon to see how far you can get.
Can you really blame them? Our LS has been using expansion areas to level up alternate jobs. Common parties consist of 2-3 75's (on their mains for merits) plus 2-3 on newer jobs in the 70-74 range ("gimp" jobs like DRK, SMN, etc). The new areas are still the best places to go for those kind of parties. Just because you have a job-elitist party doesn't mean you can tell others to GTFO.Originally Posted by Lordwafik
Honestly the only problem is the idiots who somehow think it's OK to start camping when the place is already at capacity. Or that having a job-elitist "faster" party gives them the trump card to force out slower parties. If you arrive at a camp and there isn't enough room/mobs for you, just go somewhere else instead of being an ass.
Thats how YOU choose to see it. Other people can see it how they want as well, and they can choose to exp there.Originally Posted by Lordwafik
EDIT: Faranim ftw
I've been doing the same :D I had a mnk/nin, 73 war/nin, nin/war, nin/war, 72 brd, 70 rdm party still get 16k/hr in Bhaflau Thickets.Originally Posted by Faranim
Besides that however, I can think of places for at least 23 parties in the new zones without too much trouble. Add that onto 6 in Uleguerand Range, 6 in RuAvitau, 2-3 in Lufaise Meadows, many in RuHmet and HuXzoi, and there are a lot more options for xp than there used to be.
Except you can still have 72-74 jobs and STILL chain high and do it in a burn style PT. A normal PT consists of 2 melees, a dedicated tank, dedicated healer, supporter(s) and maybe a BLM or SMN. Tank keeps hate the whole fight, one of the melees or brd pulls, and they do a SC+MB as the main source of damage (while picking away slowly at the mobs HP).
Hell, some people have even leeched 60+ chars there while still doing burn PTs, face it, that camp is MADE for burn PTs, normal PTs can go someplace else (like sky)
Seriously what did you contribute to this post aside from post count +1?Originally Posted by Maxxthepenguin

The parties im talking about are the ones that drag the place to a halt, like the other day when I was camping, 2 parties came, one to the side of mine, and one behind me. They were exp'ing off sea puks and other things they could pull, we killed 2-4 mobs in the time they killed 1.
I dont care if they do that, but squashing yourselves next to eachother is lame.
The other day I took my standard party (PLD/WAR, WAR SAM BLM RDM WHM) , we were getting chain 11-21's consistently, untill omg , once again, another party camps behind/infront of us and slowly chip away at monsters. At the end I just sleepga'd entire groups of mobs so we can have mobs to kill and repop by the time the other pt's are finishing fighting the first.
Agreed. Mobs that have extremely short repop timers, including T mobs that have even shorter timers, and monsters that spawn pets that are a minimum of T (so far everything keeps the chain going), I dont see how it all was some coincedance. SE saw and knew that people love burn parties, and now we are catered. Now the burn party people can stop whoring other peoples camps in ulegard (or maybe they'll move back once they get their turbans kekeke).Originally Posted by Elcura
Non burn parties can always go next to the Dvucca Isle staging point and kill Lamia Idolaters, high hp (although they take double damage), a 72-73 party with a solid skill chain should be able to do easy chain 5's (possible chain 8 if they bring imps and toads into the mix)
