Be careful not to jump to typing too quick. I'm sure that that was the day that she was waiting for. If you're trying to quote on earthsday I think she was doing earthsday synth for sonic belt, since she was going for success and not HQ and that generally is what is supported by the whole conditional crafting success/hq theory. Most of the speculation in these conditions (that's right, I admit that all it is is speculation) assumes that crafting on the day of the crystal enhances success but reduces hq and break, whereas crafting on the day opposite of the crystal enhances hq but also breaks, and lowers success.

Ummm... she said she was waiting for wind/darksday in a post in this forum, yet on the amazing items crafted forum, the SS shows it being crafted on another day (lightning i think?). And lightning isn't strong to earth, wind is. So if she was trying for HQ, and she believes in voodoo, then windsday/darksday would be the day of choice. And since she had mentioned that she was waiting for wind/dark, then I'm assuming that she knows this, and ended up just synthing on any random day, and BAM HQ!

game lost its luster a long long time ago for me... only thing i needed to make me quit was something else to fill the time. Between classes and work, my spare time to have fun has been cut from 10-12 hrs per day to 1-2 hrs per day, and I'd rather spend those 1-2 hrs doing something other than FF. Still log in once in a while to craft and chat, but all in all, I've moved on

But had major success with earth crystal synths, in which I faced SE in all of them, most of which were on winds/darksday.

Didn't say she was going to synth on that day next, just said she hq's a lot on those days. Important thing though, which I'll admit because I have no problem admitting I was wrong - You are right, I was wrong. I had it in reverse. Earth is strong to lightning; some people craft on the day that is weak to the crystal, but I don't know if that is what she had in mind. Usually you're right, someone crafting conditionally doesn't normally synth in that way, but some do.

Sorry. I'll admit that I was wrong, I just wish it was easier for other people to admit when they too are in the wrong, but people with big egos don't normally do so. I don't expect people to read some of the things that I wrote and post that they were rash or wrong, even if they realize or think that they were.

"back in the day" when Moly ore was like 12mil each i broke a guys synth and lost everything on a corazza. I felt so bad, i used my own money (was limited to a degree at the time because of a KC purchase) to buy the materials for another corazza... Booooooooooom Right in my face... another crit break. 16mil of my own money gone too.... Pays to be a nice guy!
