Honestly, at the moment I'm kinda slapping myself in the face. Gone out of my way to buy every B hide on AH for 4 days now and all the ones from my LS bank (24 now) to try to keep a monopoly on the gloves.

Driving the hide price up too high, trying to match dusk but it's getting annoying, -65k per NQ is about what I'm averaging here, -850k break, similar on remora?

Same here, I stay camping them ... don't have to worry about events because I dualbox 100% of the time and usually keep a toon in town (Unless were lowmanned and need another head) .. it's work that gets the hides from me ><!

I feel your painS. The final straw that made me retire was a string of 5 consecutive breaks on behemoth leather. I mean seriously, 100+6 leather with dark energy and I break and lose 5 leathers in a row? gg se

It doesn't, you're just terribly unlucky. Do you have the signpost GP item by any chance? I'm hoping that it will save me an angel skin down the road... unfortunately (fortunately?) I've yet to fail a cursed synth in a long long time so I don't have any idea how it affects those synths.....

Gathered up mats, got 2 archer's rings off AH today, first ones to be listed in since 12/29/07, grab some behe hides, then someone shouts for goblin coif synth (which cant be hq'd so i dont mind synthing it for someone)

Bam, T1 HQ on a synth that can't be HQ'd 1/1 followed by nq nq nq nq nq for myself.

Today I bought 2 Archers off the ah (Been tryin to buy them but have only gotten 3 or 4 in the last 2 weeks) ... 430k a peice which isnt that bad because Snipers are 300 with usually 1ish up at a time ... finish up LS's 2 JoLs today and see that gilsellers are back at it again with snipers ... now they're at 140k </3. So yea fuck waiting to buy more Archers ... maybe I'll wait for 1 more and if I dont HQ I'll go QQ somewhere.

Eh, I know I'm not a crafter, but risking something worth as much as a speed belt for a chance at an item that's exactly the same with a whitebox just isn't worth it in my opinion. Plus, if you NQ, it's basically a speed belt +10 levels. Hell, even if you HQ it is, just with a whitebox instead.

Main reason for me to not make it in a sonic belt. Leet gear sooner > White Box, but if I had 2... I'd give it a go.
