i'm prolly goona jinx myself on this and shouldnt say/brag about this at all.

i have yet to break a synth and lose an item worth over 10k
one time i got really nervous cuz i broke a blessed pants synth but turns out the galateia wasnt lost lol, that was my closest encounter to losing anything valuable for me.

Broke my first behe hide yesterday... maybe 1/10 or something on it now? Thing is, the synth wasn't for me, was for a ls mate wanting a signed pair of dusk. Yeah, makes you feel like utter crap after losing a material like that .

you pay someone for their mats if they ask you to synth it for them and you break? screw that. i always tell them there's a risk for break and if they dont wanna take it the gtfo. still, id feel bad if i broke someone's stuff. not bad enough to pay em back though. isn't my fault.

i know someone on kujata that bought mats back for the dalmatica that she broke and she hqed it and got skill up. the deal was that she keep the hq, so there is good in everything ;P

I hated breaking but I never reimbursed someone for the loss. They can always get one off the AH, and if it's something like a Dalm (broke 2 iirc) then it's the risk you take. I had people not tip at all for a signed errant, hell at least tip for the crystal and the synth support I got for no reason so you felt better.
