Might wanna rephrase because that's extremely wrong...
Nature has divided all life into natural alliances that compete for survival: namely, species. Members of the same species generally do not kill each other in their fight for limited resources, but instead work together to kill members of other species.

Humans do exacly the opposite. (for the most part)

Actually humans do both, but we're also the most mentally complex organisms on this planet, so we're kind of in a different league.

But shouldent that mean we work together more? We know it would help our race the most rather then terrorists and wars.. ha

No. Many species kill each other fighting over a who gets to mate with whoever. Many species kill each other over food. Dogs kill each other often. Cats too. And species kill each other over territory.

Oh ya know what? I shouldn't play WoW and troll forums at the same time. I completely misread that. My apologies. =)

Gorillas have full-on wars between packs.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

Or we'll find new ways to use current existing resources. Conservation of matter ftw.
That's assuming we don't blow ourselves up first. Or that we don't find the new resources in time. I don't doubt we could find resources after resources, but sooner or later we either will run out before refining the next resource, or get blown up in a war over resources.

Current war is proof that people will fight and die for resources. And sadly sooner or later some idiot is going to push the button.

Or (y)our limited scope of thinking based on today's technologies and experiences does not allow us to see the possibilities of the future. The world of tomorrow will, at some point, be nothing like the world of today. That much and that much only is certain.

One thing we can be sure of though is that humans will always strive fiercly to survive, whatever the circumstances. To a certain degree, we are like roaches.

Plus, the earth is not the only place that contains valuable and usable resources.

    Everything will change with time.

In the entirety of human history there have been many buttons. People less educated then ourselves have not pushed them. I doubt those more advanced than ourselves will, either.

Even if a 'button' were pushed so to speak, the human race would still survive.

Yes, and in an apocalyptic future Bruce Willis will go back in time to try and stop the person from pressing that button.

Everyone knows the world ends on December 22, 2012 when the Aliens begin the final phase of colonization so it's pointless to discuss any of this.

Something to think about if you haven't read before. Its obviously not real, but a lot of the points made by the so called God are very good and slightly on topic with this thread.

we have pushed them. Ask Japan. Ask the scientist who evented the bomb and they'll tell yopu they didn't think it was going to nearly as much damage as it did. They underestimated the A-Bomb greatly. Who knows what they'll underestimate next.

Oh and you do know currently space-funding is being cut from the budget left and right yes?

Again I don't doubt the unlimited resources out there. I do doubt humanity in how they handle them.
