No, even if his only melee is WAR, then that should mean he knows the diff between STR and Attack more, and which situation he should use it more.

When I levelled my first melee job, I spent a lot of levels experimenting with gear, especially str and attack and acc gear/food, trying to get a nice big rampage out. After a while realizing which I should use , and when.

He had 75 levels to learn how to be a warrior, and to learn what items do what. Im not saying he has to memorize all this crap about fSTR of blah (because I dont and i dont give 2 shits), but if you're gonna ask a question like this, at 75, with all those jobs levelled, with those 2 hard to get leg peices...

No, but with the way his linkshell works, and considering their track record, any new member who joins them can usually have their 3 item wishlist filled within a few months. Just gotta put in the time to camp.

Ground kings are their priority, and they're quite successful at it.

While I am not quick to flame anybody, I would definately agree with Wafik on this as well, on my first melee job after being a mage, I tested gear, foods (yes, I ate fische, but I reformed, honest! ), played around with macros for dot, and for ws's and came up with my gear selection that I use now for w/e situations. Honestly, there is no better way to find out about something than experience, having a melee at 75, and merits (that you get while on that job) should be plenty to figure out what works for you.
