Does logitech detect where you are in 3d space?

I thought that controller was just tilt sensored like kirby's tilt and tumble...anyway, ps3's tilt will never beat out wii's motion sensing.

both you and that article are confusing me... so where exactly does the claim "stealing from nintendo" come in?

exactly, thank you for proving my point

wiimote is putting a lot of things into one: the simulator guns, fishing poles, tennis rockets etc... people on the internet are shouting for nintendo to sue sony, but if you consider what "inspired" wiimote (i think that's a better term for copying or stealing) then it's still a question who's gonna end up on the defendant seat in court

The argument isn't that Sony did something illegal by putting motion sensing in their controller. The point is, Sony released a boomerang controller, and fans bitched about it. Then Nintendo shows its Wiimote, and fans have a generally positive outlook on it. So then Sony pusses out by switching back to their old controller design and putting in motion sensitive stuff. Feeling the pressure, much?

Listening to fans is generally a good thing, watching the market and immitating what is popular is also a good thing. I don't see much pressure, just good market and fanbase research.

Surprisingly not the case. Though the fans are typically going to care, they are already won. Sony fans would buy the system on Sony's word if they released it with the boomerang controller, but they wouldn't grab anybody on the edge who doesn't care enough or impress somebody new. Nintendo would NOT have made the Wii or the DS if they listened to their fans too much. The FF series would be stale and repetitive if Square listened to its fans. Fans are not always right, and are often wrong.

Twilight Princess will be released at the Wii release and there will be 2 version available. One for GC and another for Wii and with the Wii version you can of course utilize the new controller! Apparently the Wii remote has a speaker in it too to make it more realistic e.g when you fire an arrow in Zelda you'll here it fire off from the remote.

New Mario game on Wii is Super Mario Galaxy.

You know, not listening to fans is what made CoP (and in general FFXI) a piece of shit and WoW so much more appealing to most gamers. Besides, I said GENERALLY, if the public displays disgust and what something changed then maybe it should be changed. Even you said "too much", meaning that they do listen to them, perhaps more then you think they do. I doubt anyone would listen to fans too closely about a console seeing as the suggestions are pretty here and now, and I'm sure Nintendo has caught alot of flak for what they've done.

If Sony kept the controller, yes people would still buy it, so what? If they change it back they make the Sony fan base even happier and word of mouth gets around that PS3 owns or whatever,

Any smart person could listen to the opinions of 100 people and discern good suggestions from bad ones. HELLO I FUCKING MENTIONED MARKET RESEARCH HERE, GUESS WHERE THAT FALLS IN?

Good idea: "I think xxx would own if you could do this!"
Good response: (I think that's a good idea, but maybe we could do xxx instead...)

Bad idea: "Same battle system and character templates for all FF games!"
    Bad response: "Ok!"

Nintendo's pressconference owned Sony's on SOOOOO many levels. I was almost sleeping through Sony's but Nintendo skipped the bullshit marketing talk and just showed games, INTERESTING games.

It was also quite funny to see Reggie, Iwata, Shigeru and that lucky guy play that tennis game on Wii. Graphics sucked but it was probably just to show some possibilites and it looked damn fun.

I think the tennis game is just one of the games in a game called Wii-Sports...or maybe that's just the label, I dunno, but it looks damn fun.

Nintendo freaking won. They made their games seem like fun to play as opposed to Sony's making them pretty to look at.

Agreed, their press conference was amazing. Zelda looks pimp, the sword stuff with Red Steel was really cool too. New DS games look so fun, and the Wiimote seems like it's going to work.

Not to mention, listening to the French and Japanese with their bwoken Engwish made it awesome<3

    Gogo Nintendo!

You know... I've been thinking about it, and the PS3's $600 pricetag makes sense. I mean, look what its main features are.

Wireless, gyroscopic controller - Wii's defining feature. (Wii = $250)
    Direct ripoff of Xbox Live - 360's defining feature (360 = $400)

Total pricetag? $650. What Ken Kutaragi is really doing is just offering a bundle! The 360 and the Wii in one box for a discounted price! It's almost genius!
