Sad and ironic really Most players who saw gil sellers as a huge problem before got chewed out as "cry-babies" or "complainers". Of course when the gilsellers suddenly get sky, sea and do kings, suddenly players are complaining Definately wondering where the love was when they were only camping NM's in Ordelles, Davoi or Oz.

It really doesn't look like Square will ever do anything serious to gilsellers. They can all level up faster than SE can ban them. With gilsellers also crafting now (not sure how much of it is a trend on other servers), the economy will probably get worse later on. I've seen 300k items suddenly sell at 150k in one sale by a gilseller mule.

In-game currencies for FF are pretty huge, like any mmorpg, and can't see it ever stopping. Only mmorpg that I've encountered that has anything close to a near rmt free economy is Eve-Online. But I guess like I've posted before, it'll be Christmas probably when everything is 300% their price that SE does anything. Guess Square never stops finding ways to disappoint players; feels like Windows really, it just gets crappier the longer you use it lol!

Don't forget the people who felt that they had been "stabbed in the back' by the server and thus were doing it as revenge, but along the way they found out that the RMT's weren't such bad people because omg they were so poor and have to get rice money for their family somehow, etc, etc, etc.

Or the people who camp/etc/whatever with a RMT because it helped them get Joy, or gave them a Halbruk or something and IT'S NOT REALLY A RMT, PEOPLES ARE JUST TEH RACIST.

As one of the few who still spends time tracking and following RMT on my server (Sup 11 page thread on Alla), I've heard it all in following the mofos from the time they were running around Defalks with DRG and WHM farming teams, ruining EXP and mpking anyone who slowed down the farming. A shame people didn't pay attention back then and begin large-scale efforts to disrupt the farming ops.

So? There are tons of people who can't or don't do Limbus, but want the items. If there is a market and they can gain money then count on them being there.

I've come across the Midgard taru crew a fair few times recently - they were in Kazham 24-7 when I was levelling my SMN there, exping in a mass group where the tank would pull and they would nuke it, several would die and they'd just sub in the next bunch of tarus (and bug anyone around for raises). They didn't have subjobs at that point and I remember commenting on them to my LS and being told off for being judgemental and assuming that a swarm of 20 rank 1 subjobless tarus in cruddy gear were possibly gilsellers. After 2-3days of round the clock mandagaora zapping they vanished for a few days - to reappear with vaguely correctly levelled subs manaburning in Altepa right on the zoneline in an alliance. Last time I saw them before they zoomed up the levels (I took a break for a few days - the boyfriend aggroed) was in Garliage Citadel when one of the WHMs raised me after noob pt got me killed for the 20th time that day.

Damn SE for making MPK so damn hard these days - me and my friend were trying our best to have some fun with them back in Kazham but it's a sad state of affairs when my friend's BST can't drop some special deliveries on a bunch of gilselling scum.

Edited to add: they just warped en-masse back into Jeuno in front of me as I was zoning into mog, all in Seers with +1 body, head and hands (and rocking those Windurstian rings) so I'm guessing they must have been doing promys again. Most of them have the Zilart titles as well so it looks like they've been getting through the expansions pretty fast.

Its not just NAs, EUs do it and im sure some JPs are fucked in the head enough. even if some stupid player decided he'd fuck over his server by helping RMTs with dynamis, you'd lose at least 20k exp and a shitload of free time getting them to finally figure out Xarcabard. Even if i hated 6,000 people i didnt know, i'd never waste that much time and effort screwing them all over.
