Was in the SE corner of Wajaom Woodlands by the Engraved Tablet earlier today, middle of the day (in-game). Clear weather. Didn't note moon, etc.

All possible spots on Siren according to me and alot of people I know looking for the footprint are not up anywhere.

How does the Dark Rider spawn? what mob has to be up and/or killed before that, because afaik and everyone else I'm with, there aren't any footprints up as of now.

we check every 2 hours.

People don't really look for Dark Rider, just the footprint and it seems to be chance occurance when people actually run into him. Just because many have the SP badge doesn't mean they actually have seen Dark Rider especially since the footprint can be up for many hours.

I'm not sure anyone knows how exactly he spawns, but speculation is full moon, new moon, nighttime, darksday, or dark weather make him appear or some combination of those. People find the footprint often long after he's gone, so it's hard to pinpoint.

Dark Rider on Pandemonium happened to appear after a maintenance and it was New Moon.

Edit: Also consider the fact that he can appear in multiple zones and people w/ SP badge no longer have a reason to look for him or his footprint unless they are just curious.

on ifrit it hasnt been up for a while. i checked new moon and he wasnt up nor was any prints. however, if im right it was up last full moon and i missed it by a few hours (the print depopped). so im checking today at 1:52est to see if he pops/print pops.

if its up we can test to see if its a full moon pop (which lasts 6hours)

Need to find this myself on Ragnarok now. I'll care a lot more when I've whored Lamia 13 and Excavation Duty to it's fullest extent though, until then I'll just check for it casually or wait for someone to tell me it's location.
