Total BS Beseiged

not sure about the progress of the "OMG BLM GOT NERFED" part of this thread...but it seems to me that, everyone got nerfed. The key point is, it now takes 20-30 people to kill a besiged mob in 5 minutes. No if's, and's, or but's. Everyone has been gimped (actually it was SE buffing the holy hell out of the mobs). During the undead besiged on asura, i was never able to get more than a 600 Asuran fists on the assault draguars, and to top it off, they were insanely evasive. I think the only mobs that people got e-penis numbers were on the Quturbs...but then they have almost never ending HP.

So yeah, i'm not sure where everyone is getting off saying "melee ftw" out in besiged, when the damage over time is comparable (on the trolls, BLM will probably pull ahead even more so). Another benefit to blm is, at least you can run out of range of several OMGWTFBBQ moves like Mijin gakure/astral flow/self destruct >.>. Melee are whacking away at the mobs, while the massive lag prevents them from seeing a lamia summon leviathan to tidal wave their asses.

Let me show you the BLM point of view. I have 1000 mp. I start to nuke a mob that is about 80%. I use all 1000 of my mp on it (elemental magic 310+) and now it has 65% hp. You think that spending 1000 mp would be able to take ONE mob down more than 15% (and don't forget melee are whacking at it the whole time).

Now how can a BLM help beseiged at all? I cant sleep, stun is pointless since I don't see the moves going off and now I get to rest for 5 minutes.

If you can't pull hate blowing all your mp at once and die, something is wrong.

edit: BTW, this mob was a crawler. I wasn't going to rest to get my mp back, so I just started hitting it with my Jupiter Staff. My staff skill is only 220, had no acc equip at all. I hit it 50% of the time and on crit hits, I did 50 dmg. So doesn't seem this mob is that hard to hit. Too bad tier 4 nukes do 250 dmg but swinging a stick at it with nothing but mage gear does 50 dmg.

1 melee is lucky to do 15% damage in the time it takes a blm to dump mp and recover. Seriously, the damage is about equal. Granted the melee is swinging at the mob, but the high evasion/high defense of the mob ensures that simillar damage is done over time. I'm being dead honest when i say that any DD will basically output the same damage in a given period of time on the new besiged mobs. If you have a melee job you should definitely just take it out on the next raid and see for yourself.

Remember, it's not a 1 star show for besiged. SE saw that 200-400 people were gonna be in zone consistently for every raid, so they wanted to make waves of monsters that required 200-400 people per attack. Besides, it's not 1 BLM or 1 Melee that makes a difference. It's a combined effort of everyone putting in their share of damage in order to take down these suckers.

Those bones have stupid high evasion anyways. Even some of the DC ones outside of rat town con high evasion even with a ton of acc gear on whm.

And at least you could pull hate. Only way a blm could pull hate against trolls was to hit a 100% hp troll and knock it down to 98% and then die if no one else got it.

hence you see why everyone is in the same boat . Melee take forever to connect on a mob, blm's have to dump mp and rest, it balances itself. I think part of it is just shock from seeing under 500 damage numbers on spells.

Oh and as far as dying, Tape was my PLD, go figure!!!! j/k...but yeah, lolpld XD

On Ragnarok yesterday I joined in a troll attack as drg/whm. I seriously ended up fighting the same one flan for about 10 mins, along with 6-7 other ppl. Melee attacks weren't amazing, and they were doing some mag def boost too. But they kept healing themselves to almost full hp. Tons of trolls and wamouras wandering around, yet we were just trying to take down this one flan. Was pretty shocking, but ended up being very fun.

Yeah, we were having the same problems... The mobs were each taking way too long, but eventually we won. The AoE drain (this was Undead Swarm btw) really hurt, as you'd get tons of people on each mob, it'd use AoE drain and you're back to square one lol

I don't think I've ever gotten an Asuran off in Beseiged. It takes forever to get TP since I only get a few hits off per mob, and when I find a mob that doesn't flop over as soon as I target it, my macro takes like 3 years to trigger.

Yup I was right, you are retarded. How nice of you to conviently miss my solutions and go back to your narrow-minded view. There are numerous ways to fix this, allow me to list them all.

Kirin-Style Resist -
These mobs have 1/4th damage reduction. That means no matter what you will never do more then 1/4th your damage. Even with e-seal. Tiamat, Jorm, Ouryu etc all have 1/2 damage resist, and those mobs are pretty rare. Yay our town is being taken over by mobs with more resist then the wyrms. What they should do is make it kirin-style. It is possible to nuke Kirin for full unresisted damage, but it's very hard without eseal or full elemental gear. Most nukes regardless do about 1/4 or 1/2 damage but at least the possibility for full dmg is there.

HP -
Easy to explain, just give the mobs shit-ton more HP so blm can't just blow it up easily.

Ga3 -
Make -ga do much less dmg then normal if it hits more targets. Easy enough to understand.
