Besieged =/= HNM, PvP, or anything like that.

There is no reason to limit a BLM's ability. We should be able to hit these as well as we do on Shinra, if worse. Only DRGs and DRKs in almost all situations, BSTs and THFs in most situations are weak. Buff them up to WAR or SAM status.

The point is to tell you BLMs to stop bitching, not that it fixes the game.

I haven't done besieged a lot but thanks to the update today I got to see the Trolls come running past my exp party in Wajaom. It was great to see 30+ mobs run by us and not aggro and the Trolls managed to kill 1 general from what I heard. Later on the Mamools invaded and I messed around on my Corsair in the fight and got 344 exp despite dying once and hping. The mob growth rate is a lot faster than I expected, we might be overrun in a few days if people slack off at all now...

Did the beastmen stop their very very rapid growth at 75 on other servers? All of them have been at 75 (Trolls dropped to 74 a bit ago) since the last besieged happened. I haven't had a chance to look at update notes if there were some, and I missed a few pages in this thread, busy helping friends get to staging points.

That is normal. They always stop and recooperate for a while (usually about a day?) without growing, and then start building again. It prevents the occurence of too many besiegeds happening.

WOW... Its all I can say. I prayed and it happened. Two back-to-back Besiegeds today on Titan, and the BLMs tried to -aga III. And they died. Horribly. I've never seen so many dead bodies in Black Cloaks in my life. Brought a tear to my eye. The mobs were silly hard this time too. War Wyverns all over the place eating everyone.

Side note: I assume the reason for the BLM nerf in Besieged is for this reason, or instances like it: About... oh maybe 2 or three attacks ago, Undead Swarm I believe, there were 120 BLMs in Al Zhabi. Now, lets say that each of them -aga IIIed for 200 damage. That's 24K damage AoE. This is a problem. 120 Melees can never put out that damage in that time span. So as for BLM nerf, it's because of the assholes who want to Tier III AoE every mob when it pops and rob everyone else out of their xp. You can blame those guys. I mean, all BLMs aren't greedy fucks... right? I don't think so. But there are those few who don't wanna play nice. Someone said nerf the -aga III, leave the single target nukes alone. I perfectly agree. BLM can do their thing without fucking up the event for everyone else.

You mean -aga III, but yeah. I agree, killing -aga nukes and leaving single tier nukes alone would make it work just fine - but I think that should be on a game-wide basis, not just in Besieged. It would give me a whole lot less to bitch about.
