Meowth ftwIt's a pokeball right?
And lol @ the Wiimote controls, I don't know why anyone, other than newcomers to the series, would do that.

Yep, pokeball.
It's an advanced NES controller scheme basically, lol. I'm gonna get a Classical Controller, so I can get that "SNES scheme" feel. If worse comes to worse and I hate Classical (not gonna happen lol), I'll just stick with my Gamecube controller. 8)Originally Posted by Kaylia

Also, telling us to look at the Japanese site for the reason on Meowth's coin or whatever was utter bullshit. I babelfished the JP website ( http://www.smashbros.com/jp/ ) and it says "If ' the ???? fist ' you look at overseas edition, whether it is understood? ?" which to me sounds like they said, check the oversees version (America's site) to understand why. Wtf?
Have you ever tried playing a Sega Genesis game using the A, 1, and 2 buttons? It's probably the worst thing ever. Good thing they made A have a useless function.Originally Posted by Sho

It depends which game, some of the genesis games work really well with the wiimote.Originally Posted by Cheerios
The Genesis or the controls for Smash? There's not a lot to customize when then +, -, and A buttons are annoying to press in conjuction with anything else.Originally Posted by Falconblade
The B button is a pain in the ass to get to. I suppose you could put Taunt there in its place, but everything else about the setup is terrible for any remotely good player.
I won't bash it until I try it. I have to say though, Taunt with A seems pretty silly, but I guess it would be hard to hit A with your left hand(er, or right hand) controlling your movements instead.
I'm probably going to try nunchuck+ first. I wonder how creative we can get with controls, especially with directional movement with the controller.
No matter how you rotate it around, it will suck because "A", " - " and "B" are annoying to press, and 2 of them need to be important.Originally Posted by sho
Nunchuck build seem decent, it's like holding half a controler in both hand. Game cube build will be perfect as before obviously, so I'm not worried much about it. Anyway, they allowed you to use Wiimote alone in case some people dont have 4 complete controllers. I dont think the game is meant to be played that way, just an alternative if you dont have anything else.
The good news is that anyone who kows what they're doing probably already knew what they were doing in Melee too, and already has a GC controller anyway.
afk buying 5 GC controllers
should last me a couple weeks
man, i've gone through like 5 controllersseriously
that heaven of the perfectly worn controller, halfway between stiff, and loose, man
that doesnt last long enough

Does anyone else have a Smash only controller? >.>
I have an orange gamecube controller that I've broken in and its like, perfect, so I only use it for playing smash bros >.>
I remember back in the day my friends all wore out their N64 controllers way faster than me because they all moved the stick with one thumb, while I held it between my thumb and index finger. Apparently grinding the base against the socket is a lot harsher on the plastic than just grinding around the edges.
sonic =( the game has no potential anymore
Here here, my semi-worn out Silver SMASH controller. It's gone through so much Kirby-recovery floats and Kirby-smashes... man. And lets got get started on how I loaned it to my lil bro for Luigi.Originally Posted by SilverBreeze
Either way, it still got enough steam in it to be a usable Brawl controller. However, I'ma still give the Classical Controller some love; to hell with Nunchuck/Wiimote config.
Speaking of that, I hope they put Kirby in a higher tier than what he was in Melee this time around... doesn't have to be hax-top-tier like the original, but he deserves that much. I have to work damn hard to be a contender in Melee already with him, lol. 8)
Once I started playing SSB:M, all of my controllers became Smash Controllers. >.> I think I am down to 2 working Gamecube controllers now. ._.Originally Posted by SilverBreeze

I played with the wavebird for the longest time and I really can't use any other GC controllers now. I need that extra added weight to do anything at all, or I'll just suck completely <_<
