(hi dash attack marth's fsmash, hi slap samus' missles :D slapslap :D)
edit: i didnt include anything about the dsmash
dsmash is the bread, the butter, the plate, the knife, the table, the room, the house, the world, the universe, the dimension. well, not really, but that sucks. i've been watching the vids, and it looks like dsmash hits for multiple hits normally, but the damage isnt huge (instead of a single hit acting like a smash attack, with multiple hits acting like multiple smashes, it looks like multiple hits act as a single smash damage-wise)
Pictochat stage? wtf.
And I can't believe I haven't posted in this thread yet, considering I used to be pretty hardcore East Coast smasher.
hehe... i was kinda hopeing you could create your own stage with that![]()
guess not.... lol
This is like Poke Floats v2.0 lol
Well, I can't say anyone saw that coming. It even has a DS symbol! Awesome lol. I really don't need to guess anymore, I'll just go with "everything". Would be fun to use with a level editor...
Hmmm, they are getting very creative with their stages.
They'd probably have to do a lot of complicated coding if they allowed a level editor, just by looking at it, it's an extremely interesting and eventful stage so...Originally Posted by Kenai
That stage looks really fun lol.
Would be awesome if you could have someone drawing the stage in pictochat on the DS or something, but oh well.
This would be the perfect level for caged matches, having the black lines go around the whole screen, can't KO anyone till it changes.

Also, the Pictochat and Warioware stages look like good fun. Although I can see the Pictochat stage becoming the new Flat World of Brawl. But I still like it!!!111

I'm just glad there's no wavedashing, because I hated having to learn it and practice it again every time I didn't play smash for a few months.
love,

i only recently (last 6mo or so) started wavedashing with peach
its not really that great (although when it comes through as a mindgame element, it looks nice)
Yeah, it would be really stupid easy to implement it. I wouldnt doubt if we see a patch for this to happen.Originally Posted by Maguspk
Wavedashing is all about playstyle. Alot of people simply pick it up because they learned after it became a popular thing and so they incorporate it into their learning. For some wavedashing isn't even necessary, for others with very short wavedashes it can become very useful for spacing. Shiek for example is extremely potent if you can space with wavedashes well. It isn't some end all be all technique though.
I will say though if you had to "relearn" how to wavedash you were doing it wrong. I learned how to wavedash sometime last year and I can do it on command everytime me and my friends get together to play. I don't use it as often as I should because I don't have people I can play with very often but I do incorporate it often, more often than not to simply edge guard quickly after recovering from a Bair on someone off the map. Man I love sheik's bair.... they better not have removed her...
And ya, Niro is right mindgames are big and if you're playing someone and you can wavedash really well it can be confusing to watch, and since you can really come out in any direction if you're quick they can't predict well, especially if you are inconsistent purposefully. I dash dance more as sheik though, unless they're dead, then I do some victory wavedash dances lol.
dashdance then wavedash according to their approach. follow up with the pain.
funny thing, i cant really wavedash consistently with peach, but marth and sheik i have few problems with (sheik is easier imo, so fluid)
i dont think losing wavedashing will hurt the game too much, not with all these apparent new tactics (fuck them naming them already, i want my name on one(((()
The game based on how the people reviewed it seems to be really incomplete. In particular, hopefully they fix this "floatiness" about characters which is constantly referred to.
Floatiness is probably intentional(depending on how floaty they are), as Sakurai has stated he wants Brawl to be a bit more focused on Aerial combat then Melee was.Originally Posted by Maguspk
I didn't say they would remove the floatiness did I? The way it's referred to sounds almost counterintuitive and like it isn't quite done, which I'd expect from a demo.Originally Posted by Falconblade
