maybe the characters they're announcing are the starting line-up? or was this confirmed not to be the case?

he'll be low tier from the looks of it lol, at least we finally see another character in the roster. I'm personally waiting on Ridley or Geno or Mega Man. (i thought he was on the list?)

IIRC, there are two official lists (possibly 3, but I've never seen the third, which would be the US/NA version of Most Wanted). The one I posted was from Sakurai's blog (for the record, Megaman was #11 on this one, but tied for 2 votes with 8ish other characters with no metion in the game so far so I didn't bother), and the original is buried in Smashboards (they seem to be bitching about Olimar btw, lol). The other is from JP's Nintendo Power, and that is the one that placed Sonic and Megaman both pretty high. Other notables from that list were WW Link and Animal Crosser.

I should also note that since the Pikmin Emblem is #22 when their were 21 before, they can not only add as many symbols as they want (disproving a lot of theories about "there's no more franchises"), but #13 and #19 are still unlisted. #13 is almost definitely Game and Watch, because it is in the center of the Melee franchises, and #19 is a unnannounced wildcard. Megaman is actually unlikely, for a reason I won't go into right at this moment, but there's room for QUITE a few others, especially if they stick to their previous idea of not announcing unlockables til after release (cept maybe Sonic and Snake).

I also REALLY don't wanna wait til March. I already made plans to invite a few friends and take 2-3 days off work/school to play.

I doubt it's the real reason behind the delay. They probably wanted to spread their game a little more around the year to not leave a big gap without any first party titles.

Don't see it being delayed in Japan either, since they're already full out on the attack with commercials and stuff.

In other news, sources from Gamespot have stated that two more bosses include Dr. Eggman who appears twice, and Mayor Tortimer who appears to be possessed by Ganondorf. o.o; I don't have the link to said source, so you can take it as speculation, but I don't see why it'd be false. Oh well.

Indeed, sad to say I was one of those people for Super Smash Bros Melee, lol. Now I have everything almost ready, SD Memory, two Wiimotes, two Gamecube controllers, a classical controller... and I can't find a freaking wireless adapter to save my life ._. It's like people are buying them up in anticipation or something.
