I tried DPSing him a bit the first time I tanked him as well, but the DoT from the spikes just didn't seem worth it. When trying to keep hate off the mages, the last thing I wanted to do was force them to cure me even more.

ES/dispel works on it. Dispel lands like 2% of the time without ES at stupid enfeebling skill levels.

Sam can dispel Cerberus's stoneskin. Just get behind it and SA gekko. Removes 90% of the stoneskin hate free!

yeah, cause the barrage timer isn't at all shorter than the meditate timer....and it totally takes 2 and a half minutes for a sam to get 100 tp back, and not 40 seconds.

Assuming you're not already sitting on 100 TP unnecessarily then you're obviously not gonna be hitting the mob for it to obtain 100 so you can clear it. You're gonna hit your med timer so you can "clear it hate free!" when by the time you're done waiting for it to charge the shit's already gone. I'd much rather just have the people DPSing it down do the same to the stoneskin so 900 damage from my gekko isn't eaten. Then again I guess the real answer is "whoever has TP at the moment clears it, who cares who does it". Something tells me that you're not exactly a dime a dozen job in your HNM alliances too...
