yeah but if avatars existed, would any job be able to summon them?
just like in that FF6 opera remake Locke:"well taht was useless."
Sabin: "yup"
Although I liked the Esper system of learning magic in FFVI more than the materia system in FFVII, materia would be easier to impliment.Originally Posted by Jooeetheplatypus
That and we already have a job that utilizes avatars, no reason to dip into the same well twice.
Espers plz.Originally Posted by Septimus
Well, I disagree there. It would be much easier to implement esperesque stuff into the game and also be a new balancing factor. Here's how I would do it, any avatar you 'learn' would be able to be equipped for stat/ability bonuses. As you use it, it levels to have a more significant impact on stats and give new abilities. Functionally it would be like a subjob, except you can't main it, and the flavor would fit perfectly since we already have the avatars and this just would be like increasing their bonds with you. It also gives people besides SMNs reasons to do avatar quests, expanding original content implementation. I'd imagine materia would just be another damn thing to stuff your inventory with...Originally Posted by Septimus
Sorry to return to this, and for posting here as well as in the stat moogle thread. But since it seems to be a 'fix' that happened in the update i figure it's relevant here too:Originally Posted by genome
