Sadly, it only get 40 MPG. If it got 60+...it would be the hottest thing on the market given today's gasoline prices. At 40 MPG, its not that attractive for the price. There are sedans that get that, at a much cheaper price.
Another thing to consider....is how is the US going to lable this vehicle? Is it a car? Or a motorcycle? If it is labled a motorcycle, then it may work as is in the US, but all potential drivers will have to get a motorcycle license, in addition to their drivers license in order to operate one legally. If it is a car....then it looks to be lacking some of the safety features required of cars in the US.
Personally....I'll stick with my Volvo, aka The Tank. Gets decent mileage, and is a fucking steel box. My wife hit some ice a few winters ago and slammed head first into a concrete embankment. Cop arrived, surveyed the scene, and estimated, given the damage to the car, the length of the slide, etc, that she was doing 25-30 MPH. A she did no damage to anything other than her car, he told her if she could drive it away....he wouldn't site her, but if not, he would call a wrecker, but then he would have to give her a ticket. No joke....
SHE DROVE THE FUCKER HOME!!!!!!!!
Not only that, the car drove fine for 2 weeks until we could get it into the shop. Headon into a concrete wall...and it still ran just fine. It looked like shit, but ran just the same as before the hit. It has sinced been fixed...but I am never giving that car up.
