Untrue, you can test this easily. The game will not allow you to synth something more than 15 levels above your current skill (after buffs). So if you're a level 2 smith, you go to craft an iron ingot, it says you do not have the skill. Get advanced support and it'll let you craft, though you'll pretty much always fail.

Maybe you're not aware of the fact that the game will completely not allow you to even attempt a synth that is more than 15 levels above your current level. You'll get the message "That formula is beyond your current skill level." With advanced support, it just so happens that you can synth things that are 18 levels above your current level. Oh shit, 18-15 = 3. Guess what folks, Advanced Support = +3. You can do this test any time you want, provided your level is not high enough that there's no items 15 levels above you anyway.

They deal pretty decent damage, and its most likely because PC's are getting killed so much, that his hate built up over time.

I'm not exactly sure why people's panties are in a wad about *trying* to prove theories, other than to just bitch about something. I'll apologize right out for saying "confirmed" in my first post because I honestly thought it was. Obviously I was mistaken, I apologize for using a word I shouldn't have in a post that apparently people are interested in given the useful replies.

That being said, instead of arguing semantics on the word "confirmed" and the word "proven" and entirely missing the point of the thread, why not just work on building a larger sample set instead of sniping at each other?

Genome put forth a useful theory, and from what I understood two people have results that don't compute. Considering two people "confirmed" my now-disproven theory and I got jumped all over for it, I don't think two people are a large enough sample size to prove or disprove a theory. More people are posting in the thread that got the same results as Genome. Instead of wagging the forum peen, why not try to figure out why aurik's results are different?

I'm at 51 "points" now, and no rank up. The assessment guy tells me to do a few more assaults. That being said, I've never even attempted Lebros Supplies yet, it's the only one I've never touched. All 9 other assaults I've cleared. I will attempt Lebros Supplies on Thursday, if I fail (likely scenario) I will check again to see if makes a difference just that I've attempted it.

As for the theory, it's based on a "large number of observations", meaning someone invented it on the spot just like this wonderful heap of pure bullshit that gained general acceptance despite being blatantly wrong.

I think part of the problem and possibly one of the sources of your strange anger is that you jump to a lot of conclusions from some initial assumptions and preconceptions you make, and then you are disappointed and angry when they don't turn out to be true, and you fight too hard to try to defend them anyways.
For example, you assume that PSC wins don't count toward the PFC to SP promotion. You don't include them in your analysis. They do count however. You're angry. You don't want to look back at your old records.
You assume one of the theories that people have found is based on just one observation. It isn't, more anger. You refuse to read back thread you only glanced on to notice things like the same theory was mentioned to people by completely separate people from very different backgrounds (one was japanese as mentioned).
You then go on a long set of angry posts using a straw-man argument, claiming that other people are reading too much into one theory, when through the whole post people have only stated that their own data fits that theory. You don't want to read back the thread even when paasages are directly pointed out to you since this would make it hard for you to deny it.

On the other hand, Divisortheory's 51 points and no rankup is more useful, it gives some actual data points to use to figure out what's required to rank up. For example I had attempted lebros supplies once and failed, as he mentioned that could be a difference. That's one of the reasons why it's useful to share information, theories and post data when accurate.

The 2nd Mamool one gave me the quest, before then I didn't have it, checked. Counting that up, level 1 = 30, level 2 = 23 going on the low point for 5 for 1st attempt and 1 for 2nd+ attempts.

Was reading a JP forum the other day, it seems you need 25 points for a promotion. 5 points reward to first time mission, and 1 points reward for repeated mission. So, one win at each of the 5 staging gives 25 points and thus getting promotion mission. Or you can do 4 different stagings and repeat one of them for another 5 times for 1 points each win to get enough points.

my static has won every PFC assault except the lebron cavern supplies. i think my static broke temporarily since we agreed to take a break until we could a better strategy came out. we all think that we're missing something-like the PSC mamool one. anyway, when i read this thread i got pretty excited and started talking to naja every time i got a PFC win (except lebrons canverns obviously). i got 2 wins tonight and she gave me the CS for the dark rider. to the best of my memory, here is my PFC record.

leujaoam sanctum: 1/1
lebros cavern: 0/2
mamool ja savages: 1/1
periqia: 2/3

so basically at the beginning of the night, i had:

i then won periqia and talked to naja, who gave me a different message like: hoho if it isn't the private first class! get back to work! after that i beat lamia no.13 again and that's when i got the CS. i hope this helps.

The last assault I did before rank up was mamool Ja TG, I did not check for the SP quest prior to this however, but you can see I'm well above the "50pt" tresshold

one of my static partners mentioned the 25 point theory from the sites he browse (he's JP) before this thread was even started

for the guy who has 51 points and can't get SP quest this is the thoery I have on that:

I believe it's 25pts "after" you recieve your PFC badge, basicly any assault victories prior to your rank up are null and void towards the rank up to follow

Which is exactly how mission rank points work, you can max your rank bar (which has a point value) and keep trading crystals/do skipped missions/repeatable missions and that bar will not rise or carry over. It's not until you finish the nessecary missions to achieve your nation rank up that you can build up the rank points for that newly earned rank.
