btw, recap on this.. it didn't take me 1 more assault to get rank up, it took me 3 more. So maybe my count was off, or my wins pre-PFC didn't count or something.Originally Posted by divisortheory

What does Golden Salvage have to do with dat swapping?Originally Posted by epigram
wtf is the dat swap assault ? lol
Sorry for the nested quote. Yeah from what other people noticed, repeats done before first rank up don't seem to count toward second rank up.Originally Posted by Khamsin
If you did all PSC ones in that list before your first rank-up, you would expect you'd need 3 repeat wins to rank up (just add up points in the pfc part: 5+7+5+5=22, needing 3 more points from any repeat psc or pfc).
I know mine were all repeats after PSC, so i didn't notice wins not counting after rankup. But basically from all the data it seems the points reset to zero after each rankup (so again it's best to get rankup before starting to do repeats so they count for the second harder rankup)
The chests are two differnt dats... :3Originally Posted by divisortheory

Looks like you need 25 PFC points to be able to rank up to SP.Originally Posted by Khamsin

Were those 3 assaults you did to get the SP quest PFC rank?
Lmao, good job SE....Originally Posted by divisortheory

That intrigued me as well. Would dat swapping really work? I am assuming he meant you could swap the dat on the mimics so they don't look like chests and so you could just know ahead of time if it's the real chest, skip all the fights and only try to open the chest that gives the win and not all the other mimics... But does that actually work? Widescan doesn't work on chests for example, they don't show up like mimics would.Originally Posted by divisortheory
Also there are other tricks to avoid fighting the mimics like the carbuncle trick, that's almost as good as .dat swapping (if .dat swapping worked).
edit: what are the dats numbers?
Lamia is the better deal, but we weren't too sure about lebros as blm, rdm and blm. Of course we will hit there next. At least I have my Pln. Body![]()
blm rdm blm, from what I've read, can clear Excavation Duty.
Yeah that's the plan. Not sure about Mamook though. I've never had much luck with the rescue mission and you can't really do it as rdm blm blm. We could switch to 50 cap and do thief brd rdm, not sure if that would work well though.
You really can swap the chest dat with the one designed for Limbus and it will glow green. You can get the dat and instructions here though be warned that the site goes up and down (or so I'm told, never had a problem myself). I am, however, in agreement with Nynja that you should just whore Lamia 13 for more points. Not only is it a joke with three people but it's really fucking fun and gives you potentially better items from tekking.
[Edit]Epigram - I don't know how much the critical hit rate increase is on Pahluwan Khazagand but as I'm shooting for it myself I wish to know too. You'll inevitably get it before me so inform me of any findings please.
No one in your group has any melee job lvled up ??
That'll be difficult then lol. And If you cap it at 50, you'll be taking an AP hit, since its below the recommended lvl.
A couple PSC and a PFC. Or maybe it was a couple PFC and a PSC. Either way, it was a combination.Originally Posted by inafume

Then again, I don't tend to go to limbus or assault as SMN (where you find the most mimics), so it might be a moot point.
You do eh? Where's the Increased Criticals test results?At least I have my Pln. Body
Stop posting and go take care of that pls. :D
Looks to be around 2-3% increase in crit rate.
Body Assault Pln
Hits 552 552
Crit 34 48
Est_Crit_Rate_Assault = 0.0616
Sqrt(0.0616 * (1-0.0616)/551) = 0.00655
Est_Crit_Rate_Pln = 0.0870
Sqrt(0.0870 * (1-0.0870)/551) = 0.00453
Sample size looks sufficient and the variance is small enough to show that there is most likely an improvement.
All tests were done on Elder Goobbue.
Oh, btw carbie trick is same as bst trick, only one monster can "draw in" you at a time, so you go to first chest and put carbie on it. Run to next chest after carbie gets hate and open it. The original chest can no longer draw you in and will return to it's pre-aggro form when you release carbie.
Then just repeat.
You, sir, win many Internets. Thank you.
Just running past 50' and releasing will work as well.Originally Posted by epigram
